Cancelled last week and received my bill today for $99. Lists the $25 credit on the invoice but as shown....vodafone.png

Not sure if the hassle of contacting them is worth the $25...

I have the same $25 credit showing as $0 issue.

I called and spoke to billing about it. Billing acknowledge the line but claimed the $25 credit could only be used towards a service charge i.e. the $80/month which was free for two months. The order confirmation I received says the $25 is credit towards "your bill" and makes no mention of only being applicable to particular charges.

The call was escalated to a resolutions department when I said I'd considering getting the TIO involved. Resolutions reiterated the same thing and said the system will not let them apply a $25 credit as the account is closed.

I can't be bothered going to the TIO for $25 and don't want to draw any more attention to my account. I've accepted the 40k points has now cost me $99 instead of $74 :)

Thanks for the heads up, saves the hassle for the rest of us.

I'll just accept that my 80k points are $198 :)

Also received my bill today, but my first statement with a $16.75CR has helped me to come out on top...

Guessing you cancelled after the first month then? I should've waited two more days. Oh well

I received my first bill this morning showing $16.75CR. This means that the $25 credit has been credited correctly. Same for my wife’s account.

Cancelled both phones. I had used one for some calls so the payout was $90 for the phone. Wifey's payout was around $82, so I guess the $25 credit did kick in. Happy with 80,000 points for $172. Got a couple of extra phones to use now too.

TIO is definitely a good place to go provided you have sufficient legal knowledge or are willing to pay someone to assist for the sake of principle.

Just got my final bill, and it will be $74.00 as advertised. I cancelled my service AFTER the first bill had come through, thus the $25.00 credit was already applied to my account when I called to cancel. Alls well that ends well :)
