ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Hmmmm. i fear an enhancement coming! :(
I'm wondering if they're going belly-up or something. I only joined a week ago. Two three-figure transactions worked. But a small one was scheduled but didn't happen as quickly as I had expected. Next thing, I find I can't log in ("account locked"). Have to lodge a support ticket - no phone number to call. Supposedly a $10 transaction "looked fraudulent". Had to email ID and copies of cards. Did so. And now I haven't heard anything in 48 hours and sign-ups are closed... (and the $10 "pending" payment transaction has been reversed from the little debit card, as it's no longer visible - at least they haven't kept my money while locking me out!).

I wouldn't expect anything bad occuring. I've just been able to login just now (after reading your reply), which is showing everything normal (balance = $0.00, 1 transaction pending). The pending balance has been paid / completed in full, as it was my final car loan payment!

It's just slow to update on their system.

I'm a recent convert and super chuffed with the outcome. I've got the same setup, but earning Ascent Premium with all transactions tax deductible .... reaping 0.87c per point. My monthly ATO obligations are substantial, however the raft of other business transactions I can push through RP is the real winner.

Couldn't agree more - RP is great - I've found their service levels to be good and even the occasional transaction that needed to be cancelled was effectively handled.

So far this month I have used two CCs to start paying the fiscal fiend a bit early. I am now about 3 months away from getting my first 10% birthday bonus as the points are in the dragon warehouse.

Not sure if anyone had success, but if anyone has a way of using the Only1 GC to pay the ACT online store, can you kindly share via PM?

Website back online now, it was down an hour, I was scared :(

LOL, all is well. My first month and we've already amassed sufficient MR for a couple of return suites to London. I do wonder why it took me this long to get on the bus :(

Trying to set up reward pay to pay ATO after all the glowing references above:

Electronic transfer
Transfer your payment to us using the following details:

Bank:

Reserve Bank of Australia

BSB:

093 003

Account number:

316385

Account name:

ATO direct credit account

Reference:

Your payment reference number (PRN)
What is the ATO ABN number which reward pay asks for?
google suggests this:
ABN 51 824 753 556
Is this correct?
I think EFT code and PRN are the same thing - is that right?

Also what mailing address do you put? Would this be correct?

.and phone number?

Was going to post something similar but yes, same here.

@Pointy Bird awesome points stash! We're all different of course, but I personally don't like to get my haul that high. To use an analogy from Real Time Strategy games - that's considered 'bad macro'. Whenever my balance is > 7 figures I stop using services like RP. 2.4% (after GST claim) of $5m in tax is still a lot of hard dollars.
