Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Got this email from mywineguy:
Anybody know what the reds are?
cheers

We have just been given the inside word on a few of the highest scoring wines in the upcoming James Halliday Wine Companion of 2018.

As usual, we cannot reveal our sources, and this year we cannot even put it in writing upon fear of death.

What I can promise you is that we have cherry-picked some of the absolute best winners from the upcoming book, and have three of them right now, in our hot little hands. All the wines are 97 points or above.

There is an ultra-premium and highly collectable Chardonnay ($60) that you really need in your collection, a barnstorming Cabernet for under $30 a bottle, and a flagship Shiraz ($60) from one of the biggest names in the biz. To protect those who have provided this valuable information, we cannot put anything more in writing than this.

If you want to know more and to buy these wines, you will need to give us a call on (02) 9045 5617. Or better yet - we can call you.

Just flick us your details here, and we will be in touch very shortly.

Trust me - this is something you don't want to miss out on.

Cheers
Simon Green

Honestly I was underwhelmed by this when I tried it, although that's a great price!
As was I after tasting at the cellardoor.co tasting in Hobart, so I am not getting any - but for those who like it.... :)

So not worthy of the 97pts JH, 96pts CM/tWf/HH/AGWT? :(

I've recently been enjoying:

and look forward to trying:

Hello!

Just a quick question - i'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on Reynella Basket Press - it's popped up in the Cellar One sale.

Thank you!

I got some of the 2008 via VM ages ago and loved it. Would recommend it and would love to get some hands on it myself. How does one get an invite to Cellar One?

My CM orders were a case of Riversdale estate Chardonnay and a case of their reserve Pinot, both 2014. After visiting their cellar door in Tasmania I've ordered few of their vintages and was happy with the quality so far. Good value at $20 p/bottle IMO.

I went for the Riversdale Centaurus. Luckily I had a load of wish cards already so I got the wine for $7 in total after all the discounts, so technically I think my buying embargo is still intact...

Amazing price! How cheap did you get those wish cards?

For that Cellarmasters deal I grabbed a case of the Wolf Blass Cabernet Shiraz. Mate bought a bottle down over the weekend 2008 I think, and it was pretty good so loaded up.
Been a bad a week for me...was strong for a few weeks then all these good deals....

For the Cellarmasters deal I boomed on The Avatar 2013 Teusner GSM + the two entry level Riedels to drink it out of. $94 all in click and collect after CR, Wish and $100 voucher.

We went with the same, and sharing the Woods Crompton with a couple of AFF Sydney winos

My Cellarmasters orders were:

Wolf Blass White Label Chardonnay
Penfolds Max's Chardonnay + decanter
Teusner Avatar + decanter
Saltram Mamre Brook Shiraz + decanter
all of the above less than $14 after cashrewards
Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

some of those were split with workmates.
