Qantas is moving to 2-factor authentication to improve security for people logging in to Qantas.com. As part of the transition, Qantas is offering customers 2,000 Qantas Points to simply confirm or update their contact details.

It takes less than a minute.

Simply go to: https://www.qantaspoints.com/check-your-details

It is odd that they are asking people to confirm/update details for 2-factor authentication when the form it gives you does not even show some of the things it has been asking for the 2-factor authentication.

Yes and no mention of the 2000 points for doing so.

The call centre doesn't know much at all. They wouldn't know what is going on if it hit them in their own faces. This is a legit site, albeit maybe a targeted thing.

Can you show verification that is indeed legit?

Thank you Theinsider and Serfty I have followed all of those links and can not find this promotion on any of the pages referred to.

Here's what happens.

Firstly click this link: https://www.qantaspoints.com/check-your-details

 We know the website is owned by QFF. There is no obvious targeting as the link has no data being passed.

You get here:

That's it.

Serfty nailed it. That's exactly what I saw.

I saw they were offering it targeted so I logged in yesterday and updated but didn't see anything about points.

I logged in today and just re-entered phone number and confirmed everything and saw the 2000 bonus points mentioned.

Thanks for checkings its legitimacy - can't be too careful nowadays. Have just done this for my family too. The server seems a bit glitchy, had to reload a couple of times... maybe the OzBargainers are trying it en masse

Now if only the mother's maiden name could be checked on this screen as well. I haven't succeeded in getting far with the two-factor authentication and I'm not sure if it's because I did supply the name when registering it and didn't spell it correctly or if something else is going on.
