The totally off-topic thread

I for one don't mind reading about people's families, weekends, golf exploits, house selling and buying, football tips etc etc in this thread. If I don't find something interesting I pass over it. With too many topic-specific threads I forget they are there and don't end up reading them.

At the risk of making this too off topic for the off topic thread by continuing the daihatsu thread,,

The 4 door (the sedan version) I think were produced from 1990 and it was the first time the engine size went above 1000cc. Previously was about 800cc - (quad bike territory). Though some were turboed.

Ok JohnK , Ive interspersed this thread with something completely off topic. You can now insert something about golf..

Ummm... all ive got is, it was blue :)

Im always amazed when my husband starts talking cars, sprouting out specs. Im like, Who are you?

And to be off topic, my husband had to use a screw driver on Friday (house repair) and had to go to the Chiropractor on Saturday as he hurt himself. Home repairs are not his forte.

And they smell awful.

I headed to BNE this morning and my best friend picked me up from the airport. We checked in to the Hilton and she dragged me outside just as the exec lounge was opening. I ended up in Tiffany's and all she said was "pick one".

A picture would be good.

Oops, sorry.

Sorry about the image quality.

They look lovely. I see you took two, one for each ear.

Look forward to seeing them on you soon.

We saw them on Saturday at the BNE QC, hvr. Look very nice on (her, not me :D)

Just a random post (keeping things off topic!) to get rid of the 'you haven't posted lately' banner!

I've cut down on all forms of social media posting in recent times. And in many ways that is a good thing.

A month without posting - impressive. Bet I couldn't do that...

Missed you on Saturday :(

My only claim to being a Tiffany snob is Ive been to 5th Ave, NY and hubby bought me and our only niece gifts from there.

So now, anytime I see a Tiffany and go; Honey, look. Tiffanys!. He says, "We've been to 5th Ave, Im not going to any other store.

Bunnings on the other hand is the place to loiter.....

May need that boot, as apparently noone showed up to today's open. Sigh.

In better news Jason Behrendorff is continuing his destruction of Victoria's Shield line-up. Already taken 3/15 to go with yesterday's lazy 9/37.

Best bowling in Shield history is 16/186, way back in 1895.

Terry Alderman has the best of any WA bowler. 14/87 in 1981. J-Dorff looks to be giving that one a shake today.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/sheffield-shield-2016-17/content/story/1084495.html

Well he ended up with 14/89 is pretty darn good. Domestic cricket records show how good that is....

Jason Behrendorff finished with 14 for 89, the ninth-best match figures in Sheffield Shield history, as Western Australia wrapped up an innings victory over Victoria inside two days at the WACA. Behrendorff added five second-innings wickets to his nine from the first innings as Victoria were tumbled out for 130, losing by an innings and 38 runs.

Behrendorff was just the second man in the post-war era to collect as many as 14 wickets in a Sheffield Shield game - Terry Alderman was the other, having picked up 14 for 87 in a match against New South Wales in 1981, also at the WACA.

How the heck did they mess up Best Picture announcement. Makes no sense.

I think Jimmy Kimmel gave Warren Beatty and Fay Dunaway the previous envelope. I think Matt Damon will be making fun of Jimmy Kimmel for a while.

Posting about your various attempts at exercise? It's a great deal more fun to read about all the stupid things that people do.... Not that we see that very often on this thread.......

Wandering back to my corner
