TomV you have a doppelgänger in IKEA Adelaide. Same - everything including great smile. Didn't hear him speak though. Same age group too.

Clearly you are on a see food diet.

Weird.

And I love food. It's amazing that I'm under 100kg

Next time you're in Sydney, make sure you get to Mr Wong - their sticky and sweet pork ribs are awesome (as is their pork hock).

Looks good :D Thank you.
Do they serve them with bagels?

Kosher pork? :p

Fun day with the family at one of those "escape room" joints. We made it out with 9 minutes to spare before the bomb went off. Being handcuffed to the wall was a new sensation.

Agree - you would be pissed off at Quay if you had a view into the side of a mega cruise liner for your dinner / function.

This happened to us.

We were assured by the [-]door cough[/-] hostess that the ship would leave by 10pm , but it did not leave until almost midnight.

It was, yes, very disappointing.

Also, the meal was good, but IMO, both Vue de Monde and Dinner by Heston were better. Although perhaps that's because both featured unimpeded views?

Ships can get delayed. They try very hard not to. But passengers have a way of delaying things.

I recall on QM2 that in Adelaide we waited and waited for sailaway. No announcement but an hour or so later a taxi pulled up direct to the wharf and a guy exited. Normally they would be greeted with boos and clapping at keeping everyone waiting so long. But the man was clearly physically challenged - possibly something like cerebral palsy. Two walking sticks. So as he walked up the replaced gangway there was silence.

BUT - it turned out he had just embarked hours earlier then decided to return home to water the plants. Then returned to the ship but badly misjudged timing. The ship knew who was missing. And his physical impediments. So they knew they had to wait. And wait. And wait.

In Sydney? Would you recommend it? Need to come up with a team activity for work...

Mrscove refers to this as "hug a tree" and thinks you may as well hug a lamppost. She really isn't into team building.....

Maybe team building was the wrong phrase!

We are a small very close team who are fiercely competitive with each other no matter what we do - but always in fun. Something like a panic room 'game' would be great amusement value.
