Vinomofo Wine Deals

You may not like what you find in current vintages. You must consider cellering as an option to truly appreciate great CS.

I need a decent, affordable case of (ideally big, bold) cab sav to reaffirm my previous love of it.

Got some from McWilliams that is apparently RRP$30 per bottle and wasn't impressed. Tasted like an everyday wine to me.

Maybe this is it? Or a previous cab deal that may resurface?

PS - It's cork for those who may not have noticed! :)

try zema 2010 cabernet at DM even.

It's been an hour, dinner has come and gone, so has a lot of the shiraz. Honey bee prefers a cabernet so it's time to crack another. Amelia Park cab merlot 2012, a wine that had so much coverage recently, and my first bot. this is good. tannins not too long and lingering. The tannins in Leo the golden lion are more pronounced especially at end palate, however, the cabernet really delivers. Medium in front palate, great nose, but then the weight hits you. Very impressive. VM delivers a beaut.

Out of interest, did anyone buy the i-777, and what did you think?

So the Golden Lion was a positive experience? If you are pricing it at around $30, $15 seems like a good buy...I will crack one over the weekend. Anyone else cracked one yet?

Anyone had any experience with the Willoughby Park IronRock Shiraz 2011? I think it's the secret deal Shiraz.
I know a few people in the past have spoken highly of their other wines.

I haven't sampled it yet. Will give my impression tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure it is overpriced at $50, but that's not what I paid. And if it's sub-par, it's going straight back :)

The hungerford hill gundagai 2013 shiraz was part of a mixed case a few months ago and that wine was stunning. It can be had for $21, so i would expect this Collection hunter wine to be better.... you can post a tasting note soon

I received a case of Wynns V&A Lane 2012 Cab Shiraz today. Bought so much wine I cannot remember which particular secret deal this was.
