Boomy, likewise it'll be nice to catch up with you and the others in the Platinum list I know.

There is one member whom I am very much looking forward to meet :D

Saturday
Early morning - No
Cruise & Williamstown - Yes
Dinner - Yes

Sunday

Having just realised my flight doesn't arrive until 4.35pm on the Friday, and I prefer NOT to spend $50+ on a taxi, I may not make drinks ... assuming y'all will be strolling down to the restaurant, what time-ish do you think you'll be leaving the bar? Hopefully I can make 'last drinks'!

Our reservation is 8pm, and they will hold the table for 15 mins.

So we should leave by about 7:45-7:50, meaning last drinks 7:30ish.

Golf on the Sunday is is jeopardy, with only 2 signed up right now, but Yum Cha has about 20.
Dropping off like flies.

Really disappointing as golf was the main reason I am attending.

Looks like it could be a lonely Sunday morning at Royal Melbourne golf club.

I know, sorry to see the golf component not be as well subscribed. I think BNE was the high point for that event!

Hopefully you'll consider coming along to some of the other events if you're free :)

I know we're listed as Platinum for the Dinner already but I just wanted to confirm that my partner and I are confirmed for the Saturday night dinner.

We've organised a babysitter for the children and just have to figure out a few other details.

We are an outside chance for the YumCha but it will depend on the exact time of lunch and whether we decide to make it a family outing to the city.

I am staying at Budget 1 Hotel on Saturday night in a 9 sq metre room.

Spewing the price went up from $64 to $69 in the past couple of days. ;)

I have you both down for dinner.

We're up to 32 for the Saturday dinner now.

Payment details will be sent out in a PM soon, and payments will comply with the guidelines, listed here. Specifically,

  • The payment will be for the Saturday cruise/lunch/bus/RAAF Museum and/or Saturday dinner.
  • There wont be any administrative charges as it'll be into a bank account administered by myself. The same account was used for AFF#6 on the Gold Coast.
  • In the event of a cancellation by the organisers, a transfer back to the member will happen when their bank details have been provided and as quickly as possible, most likely the following week.
  • In the event of a cancellation by the member, a refund will depend on whether or not the activity is refundable (a non-refundable activity could be the Saturday cruise combo for example).
  • In the unlikely event there are excess funds following the weekend, those will be donated to charity.

Arrive ~6:00pm.

Dinner too expensive for me. I would love to come along for a few drinks but staying in Bell City, Preston and not sure I want to tackle public transport from there.

Playing golf Sunday morning and then heading to airport until ~7:30pm-8:00pm unless I can get fly ahead.

Tram 86 will get you back to the hotel just fine, about 150m away from the stop. It is a fairly long ride though.

Late entrants here - Jimmy124 + 1 - mirroring same program as QF WP (except our Fri dinner will be in SYD), looking forward to catching up

Saturday dinner is now up to 37 by my records, and we hope to have payment details out tomorrow along with a better sign up sheet ;)

Apologies for the delay getting organised... life has been hectic, blah blah

Thankfully my little helpers have helped move things along, so we are almost organised.

Announcement - Event Updates:

We have enough to people to qualify for the group rate for the river cruise, meaning it will reduce from $22 to $20 per person. (It's actually $19.80, but I will collect 80 cents towards the RAAF museum donation).

We have arranged a bus on Saturday afternoon (Williamstown to RAAF to City Hotel). The exact cost will vary depending on how many actually attend, but I will collect $20 prepayment per person. This also includes a donation to the museum (e.g. entry is by donation).

Lunch in Williamstown will be at your own expense.

The Main Do Dinner remains a $60 per head charge.

Therefore for an AFF user to attend all of the prepaid events the cost be $100 per person. Please bring cash to other events to split the bill (small notes preferred).

Announcement - How to register and pay:

Official registration will be by the following Google form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1M84QADP70W4iQ1tcvelyOv41kBHRyBn6jmmXARBUJ4M/viewform

If you have already made your intentions clear on the thread, please also fill in the form, so we have the information in one place.
If you make a mistake or your plans change please PM me, and I will update your registration.

Bank details removed.

If you have any issues with making this payment (e.g. you don't have an Australian bank account), please PM me.
