Actually there are none. Its not a big jump from bronze.

no hush hush stuff even in gold

even gold is not worth it if you struggle to get there.

Platinum and platinum one is where all the hush hush stuff occurs.

Disagree - but it all depends on where you are planning to travel to.

PS can be a great help in the USofA, but also things such as free seat selection internationally and the bonus points are better than NB.

There are no hush hush benefits per se, but realistically PS isn't that high in the food chain.

Agree totally, although no hush hush, the stated benefits I found to be quite rewarding when my family and I made PS for the first time. Especially the seat selection, the premium check in and extra QFF points.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Sorry, but what's PS stand for? Something... Silver I'm guessing.
It's a relevant question for me as well as I'll be reaching Silver by the end of the year (which I'm happy about as I'm not flying for work).

Edit: fixed a typo

You don't have to list them.
Am looking for little surprises of QF Silver.
If all goes well, I will make it and keep it a year.
I am not rich.

There are several benefits to being a Silver member: Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Silver Benefits

As has already been suggested, some benefits may be more relevant to you than others based on your future travel requirements. However I'm certain you'll enjoy the complimentary Qantas Club pass that accompanies the new Silver kit. ;)

PS does make quite a difference if you are doing a number of domestic US flights that aren't part of an international ticket as it gives you comp baggage.

Also gives you priority security and boarding over there.

As usual, very sensible comments from mannej. As a decade or more WP, I could not sensibly answer the question because there are little things that count that a WP will just take for granted. It is too easy as a WP to scoff at someone getting a thrill out of getting to PS and capturing a few little things that make for a nice feeling.

Free seat selection, for example, I take for granted. However, I was brought to earth a little on the weekend when partnerJohnM's son was talking about his travel SYD-LAX in October and I blithely said try to select 80A or K or 70D, explaining why. As an NB, he later came back saying he had to pay $25 for the privilege - but he paid and got 80A :D:D. I suggested that it would be one of the best $25 he'd ever spent. When he gets back, I'm sure he'll agree and be an 80A,K convert.

Coo, Complimentary Qantas Club pass, now now now, how many visits a year, still one or no limit, (@RedRoo), if you had the ear of the Big Guy with the glasses, and if they (QP passes now were complimentary (no limit entry) for Silver), I would start to bring back all my flight services to QF again.
But I think maybe its only still one QP complimentary pass a year ey as a PS, and not as thought I read it, (Complimentary Qantas Club pass-ie, no limit as long as a PS flies Qantas)...
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Ok, don't want to make a ***** of myself, so will keep quiet now.

As well as the link provided by serfty, note that certain terms, including 'PS' are auto underlined here. If you hover your cursor over such terms, an explanation is given.

That's a really nifty feature.

Silver gets a complimentary Qantas Club pass, meaning one single visit.
Gold (and higher) gets complimentary Qantas Club membership, meaning unlimited entry.

PS gave us priority check-in all through South America about 18 months ago (flying LAN obviously), which saved us hours of queueing. That right there made it worth it!

Thanks all.
I am paying for my own trips, as a small subcontractor, I don't have a top man/chook to pay for my trips.
So, its PS I will be stuck with.
What with Tony A's thingo, I am not sure if I can fly to keep even PS, not to mention go for 700SC to get to SG, or 1200SC.
Ahh, never mind.
Ok, as you were.
