Hush hush benefits of QF PS... Y or N?

As mentioned earlier, you need to weigh up if the benefits are suitable for your travel needs or not.
Qantas Club membership although not a status level does have some benefits such as Lounge Access and extra luggage allowance.

Just a side note that WP is 1400SC's to gain, but 1200SC's for retaining purposes.

If you only fly domestically, I cannot see QFF status being of much value. If you fly international, then certainly OW status has benefits (and even more so if traveling with NB pax).

Paying for flights with your own $$ makes chasing status confuse ends with means. Status can get you benefits, but so too does paying for premium seats (which consequently aids status). Add this to the end of mASA & the changes to OW sc earnings, there is pretty much no longer short-cuts to SG & WP.

In short, if you make PS or higher due to your normal flights, well and good. But I suggest flying for the sake of flying to gain status using your own $$ is a poor investment.

Cheers.

Will let PS drop but keep QP.
Thanks all.
Just want something extra.
WP 1400 SC... Wow, thought it was 1200 to attain.
I will make 500 SC to get 8000 points at least.
Have a few J classes over the next year to fly, when I make it PS, I will crow it out here.

That's really great advice.

AFAIK the only difference between QP and PS is the ability to harvest the food and drink offerings.
