Vinomofo Wine Deals

The secret deal VIM they sent out in yesterday's email is the 2009 d'Arenberg The Coppermine Road. For $30/bottle is a pretty good deal even on an "off" vintage.

Damn you, I have been so good this year but gave in for this one!

Does anyone have any idea what the Margaret River Chardy is in today's black market deal?

I love Margaret River Chardy and this seems like a pretty good price.

Had a "sales call" from the mof_s yesterday trying to entice me to buy. Not really my thing - would rather just browse the website and emails myself - not into phone sales.

Torbreck 2006 Struie Shiraz just got posted on their site for ~$40 a bottle. Not a huge bargain but still good value for those that want a premium "aged" shiraz that doesn't completely kill the wallet.

Anyone that likes Riesling tried the Wykari? From a quick Google search, it looks like they've sold it several times over the last couple of years and an e-mail has just arrived offering the 2013 for $6.90 a bottle, which seems to be a lot cheaper than previously ($9). Seems like a great deal for Clare Riesling, but I've never heard of them. $14.40 on their own website.

Bought some 2010 vintage from vinomofo 2 years ago when they had deals on offering free postage and $20 off a case when Australia won a gold medal at the Olympic games. It was OK. Not anything special but I think it was around $7 a bottle at that time.

Thanks for the feedback. I've already bought a case anyway - figured for $7 can't go too far wrong. It seems to tick all the right boxes on paper - region, vines (old), wine maker (Neil Paulett, I assume from Paulett's), 93 point rating from Halliday for 2011. Not too many wines with that pedigree for the price!

Can't recall the price ?$15 but the Gusto Mama Sangiovese is a pretty decent drop. If it comes up again I'm getting another case.
Drink now, with friends and preferably someone's Nonna cooking up a storm as you wait :D

Or as they suggest, it goes very well with Pizza...

Hot tip - you can ring them and order things even if they aren't on the website (assuming they have stock).
