Youtrip travel card

cons: can’t transfer funds to non-YouTrip accounts, so can only withdraw as cash via ATM, or spend via debit card - also can only add/top-up in AUD

ahh right, so if I chuck too much in I can’t transfer it back out? good to know

how are the rates compared to Wise or other cards like Up? much difference?

Seems good, especially with the 2% cashback - and I know some sites are running bonuses on sign up as well. The FX rates are the MasterCard rates - which is about as good as you'll get.

To me though it seems a lot less hassle to get an ING or Macquarie debit card and just use that - unless you're travelling before the 2% cashback expires.
