so i wonder if im the only one in here who loves flying but doesnt really fly that much. like at least once a year or a few times lol :)

Don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't flown much this year. I will get my first flight under my belt at the end of May with a solitary BNE/MEL/BNE ticket.

As for me, I don't have my flight data with me right now (yup travelling) but think I'm over 100 flights for the year already. A few longhauls coming up thanks to some great sales.

Yup over 100 flights so far this year. Still under 100k flown miles - much less than the past several years. Some big months to come with almost 100 ticketed unflown flights for 140k flown miles.

First post and flying efforts so far 07. So small compared to some...

2-May-07 QF 532 SYDNEY/BRISBANE
30-Apr-07 QF 515 BRISBANE/SYDNEY
21-Feb-07 QF 176 LOS ANGELES/BRISBANE

14-Feb-07 AA 1844 SAN DIEGO/CHICAGO (O'HARE)
9-Feb-07 QF 175 BRISBANE/LOS ANGELES

First international flights with Qantas in over three years.. and frankly still poor service for Business Class. Singapore Airlines Economy is even better (ok outside laying down) than Q Bus and lets not get into their psycho entertainment system... poor selection just watched laptop instead. So disappointed with Q US/LA Flights.

Next three months sees..

BRISBANE-SINAPORE-KAULA LUMPUR
BRISBANE-SINGAPORE-ATHENS
BRISBANE-SINGAPORE-BANGKOK

BRSIBANE-SYDNEY
BRISBANE-CANBERRA

question?

Interesting to note that Star Alliance is actually crediting the new distance (Great Circle Mapper confirms) between SIN and Suvarnabhumi!

I swore I would be flying at all in May, but clocked up my 50th flight for the year, flying MEL-SYD this morning, and back tomorrow and, off to Adelaide on Tuesday, and Mildura on Friday, and Perth next week.

I was hoping to avoid much travel for May and June, as I'll be spending six weeks in the US from late July, flying pretty much every day, and then another two to three weeks in Europe flying pretty much every day. Just lie back and think of the air miles!

Luckily I've managed to fit in Thailand v's Australia in the AFC championships on July 16th in Bangkok, and two days break in Phnom Pen.

Enjoy Phnom Phen. It was an osasis for me while I was doing foreign aid work in Cambodia, I was in the sticks, and I have fond memories and love it dearly. Ah the Paris of the east.

I'm putting May in early cause I'll forget otherwise (heading o/s June 1)

Well as previously predicted, I only managed 4 domestic flights this month. MEL-CBR-MEL x2, both trips on QF.

Next month I even managed to negotiate with work to take me off the CBR roster as it's exam month. So as of now I have zero flights for June, but my exams end on the 14th so there might be a trip to CBR b4 I go off on holiday in July.

Hmm - the actual earning flights are in fact pretty poor for the month but they belie the fact that the travel in May was hard work - need to factor in the 4 dragon AIr non-earning flights (even though one was a CX codeshare):

Interestingly I got my new AA Platinum card this month - ahh EXP is not far away.

No more planned flights until THE BEHEMOTH commences on July 7 - trip report for that will be a monster ;)

Congrats John. I hope you enjoy the rewards.
Thanks. The 100% status bonus should come in handy and with an upcoming RTW I get a chance to try out some F lounges.
