"Ah, I sort of got that but still confused myself. Thanks."

That's because they like to keep us all confused!!!!

OT: If you use the "Reply with Quote" option, make sure you leave the start and end tags intact: that's the
and
stuff.

My letter also indicates that the card name is changing to the "NAB Qantas Rewards Premium" card. WTF?
Still listed on the QF page tonight as NAB QANTAS Platinum card
Frequent Flyer - Earning Points - Pay - NAB Qantas Platinum Card
and at NAB
NAB Qantas Platinum Card - NAB

Got the letter and the 5K points offer too.
The NAB site does not list a QANTAS Rewards Premium card.
Someone somewhere needs a prod.
Or should we all do a complaint re misleading us to get the card in the first place?

I just got the same letter today, pretty peeved off as I have been spending double the limit. I see on the nab website they are still advertising the platinum card, have they only done this to people who spend near their new limit?
I might have to look to another bank now

Hmmm, just as I was thinking of giving which-bank the flick for NAB it seems they are joining the race to the bottom.

My letter said the changeover (for me at least) is 25th Feb so it looks like the Platinum card has another month to run.

Strange that people can still apply for the soon-to-be-redundant Platinum Card online though.

Posting your letter to NAB's facebook, and they will react immediately.

I remembered I posted the first hand information about its gold banking termination on their facebook (NAB hasn't announced officially), then NAB updated their website on the next day.

Means I am done with this card for QF points
Gave NAB over $4m last year on this card on Amex and the monthly cap is a killer
Nice customer service NAB not even a phone call just yr letter to me

You just lost $4m per annum

While I see your point and would be looking elsewhere if I was in your position unless you paid them $4m in fees they aren't going to lose that much. Regardless, it would be interesting to know what they would say if you called them and explained as much. Surely there are benefits to them other than your credit card fees and I'd hope they were keen to take on all your banking interests. Banking is competitive so it might be an opportunity to have it work in your favour.

Valid comments, just back to Florida from Cuba and will be on my list when back in Sydney in a week

They will also loose some other key business, but my solution for 20 years is you'll never beat the banks and they dont give a Sh.. about their customers, so just buy their shares, its the only solution

I applied for this card on 14/1 to get the 35,000 points, and just received the cards (on a letter dated 15/1...quick turnaround!). So the fact that I will soon get a letter changing the goalposts is a bit cough. But as long as I get the 35,000 I suppose it doesn't matter...that's all I was after :)

Did you apply or was it a product swap. Mine was a product swap and consequently unbeknownst to moi did not attract the 35k points!!

I have called this deceptive and have complained. First response due back next week. Further action due if they don't cough up.

Spoke with my business banker and have it in writing that Statement Period refers to the Monthly Statement Period, therefore the cap only applies once you have reached $100,000 spend, you will not get any more points. Therefore with Amex points you will only be able to receive 150,000 points per month. Not Great but then again not disasterous either.

..... I have just ditched NAB for CBA....

May we learn of your thinking behind this switch ?

Better QFF earn rate ?

Annual fee waiver ?

For me, I cancelled my NAB cards this week and all my QFF spend would be on the Woollies EDR CC (1:1, $89 p.a., no cap).

I also have the CBA Gold (no fee, part of home loans) but I am not using it at all.

Sorry but you'll find that the fine print said the points offer was for new cards only
