There's been a few threads on adjusting the xONEx's with the recent price increase - I had thought of going via Indonesia but have done some research on starting in NZ. All seems good, I tried to get it to ticket with the booking tool on AA but it kept going to Qantas. When choosing the AA it said the due to traffic restrictions etc I had to use the operating carrier.
I know the way around this is to ring the AA ticket desk etc, but through ease of it all, I just wanted to use the online booking tool.
Mucking around I found a flight out of AKL to SYD (I want to come back to SYD before LAX so I can go on the A380) theres a flight on LAN metal. Also, when going through to the booking stage I see it gives a price in USD which when converted = about $10k aussie including all the taxes, charges etc.
(1 Adult(s) x (7,181.00 + 500.63) = 7,681.63 USD )
Firstly I have no idea who LAN is, google tells me its some south american carrier -but what I want to know is , will this all be good starting on them? is there any issue with it being ticketed on them? My first and only flight from AKL to SYD would be on LAN...
Im new to all this and have always just used Qantas, so my fear before booking may sound dumb.
