I've booked - newbie that I am here. Looking forward to it.
I'm intrigued by the secret bit - hoping to get a guernsey for that too, whatever it is.

So you are not alone as a newcomer pgsdiver - I am going as well. I hope the secret event isn't a day trip to Pyongyang

I've finally decided to confirm for this event. After two previous amazing events, I decided I can't miss this one.

Still unsure. Little Miss makes it hard to travel around that time. Hope to sort it out soon, if I'm not too late!

what does this mean a non aFF event? The title has been changed?

AFF is the acronym for this website (Australian Frequent Flyer), but this event isn't organised through AFF, just posted here for convenience, and thus it's noted appropriately. I'd seen this event promoted primarily on FFA (Frequent Flyers Australia - a Facebook group), but it could also be promoted by TFF (The Frequent Flyer - another forum like this).

I suggest you read the first part of the first post of this thread:
Please note this is not an AFF event and I am not the organiser or host. It is an event to bring together Frequent Flyers of all forums for some festive fun. I am not affiliated with the organiser but am attending what will be a wonderful event to bring together Australia's Traveling Community*...errrrr....errrr I mean Frequent Flyers. :p
...

So are all the people attending from AfF or not? I looked back and all the other events were AFF and I googles the sites Sam said but only found the frequentflyer - it seems to be the same people as here, so why is this not a AFF events as well?

Sams what is the other site frequent flyer australia? Goole just brings me back to here? is it the same site?

Anyway - I dont really care what its called - if everyone is from aFF or other place it is still the same frequent flyers working and networking with each others!

If you have Facebook I'm sure someone will invite you. It's just another place to talk basically, but viewpoints can be much different.

*The poster would like to apologise to the the gypsy community of Australia if any offence has been caused.

Indeed!

(I have just added the apology to the gypsy community in the quote just in case the come to my home, kidnap me, and force me to travel the country by horse drawn carriage.)*

This event offers an opportunity for Frequent Travelers of all persuasions, even from FlyerTalk**, to gather at a time of festive cheer and raise a glass to St Christopher - the Patron Saint of Travelers.*** All** are welcome to attend as our host, platinum backwards, spreads good cheer and bonhomie amongst us all. (Think Father Christmas)

This is not a time for Scrooge**** like miserliness, petty squabbles or for that matter all round caddish behaviour. It is a time to unite** and celebrate [-]our[/-]***** your passion for all things travel.

*The poster would like to apologise for the grossly over exaggerated stereotyping of our [-]pikey[/-] traveling communities.
**although obviously not the French. :p
*** Not sure whether St Christopher represents the gypsy community or not?
**** Scrooge prior to the Christmas night visits by the ghosts of Christmas past present and future obviously.
***** I hate travel!

I have already confirmed my attendance & look forward to catching up with new & old faces . It will be a great night.
