As I'm now booked to take a train trip on the 14th and I have a limited travel budget, I am no longer on the fence. Just can't go :(

One year perhaps :)

Yep the train trip makes this one difficult. I'm still on the fence fortunately. I think I just need to do it.

I might have to check the hilton prices.

You can always bunk with someone ;)

I'll do it one year, but sad to say it won't be this year unless I win the lotto.

The big question remains "Will it be Lurpak" at the dinner.

What is Lurpak.

I need to decide whether I should go to this.

I also need to look at that train thing as well.

The work Christmas party has been firmed for the 15 December and the 14th is out because the boss has a wedding to go to, not his, a cousin.

Disclaimer

Please Note. This is not guaranteed as Qantas still need to finalise and confirm so if booking flights specifically to attend, please be warned that this could or parts of could (although not likely) be canned.

Qantas has graciously offered to conduct a tour of some parts of the Sydney airport. These will be a conducted (by the curator) tour of the heritage museum followed by either an up close and personal with an aircraft in the maintenance area, or a flight training area tour or a sneak preview into the guts of the airport (which would be my choice!). Qantas will be confirming very soon and I will pass on as soon as I know.

This will be followed by a light snack / refreshment in a lounge or similar

There will be security requirements which are not up for negotiation.

The members attending will be required to supply identification (I will inform you what as time gets nearer) to me prior to the event to pass onto Qantas so temporary security can be organised in advance.

There is an additional cost for this event to pay for the bus hire – around $15 each and I need a bus driver! Anyone coming who has a bus licence is guaranteed a spot!

I have yet to work out how to create a means of choosing who is in and out if we get pass the 16 spots allocated – let me sleep on this suffice to say however that the first people previously indicating their attendance are in – I think there’s 4-5 of you.

This event is only open to those attending as full paying members to the evening dinner.

Additionally, Qantas will have two reps at the dinner. :)"

I think we can all assume a certain somebody has been very busy organising things!!! :)
