Well I think Steady got in first with a date request, so no complaints from me. Would love to attend something like this in the future but realistically needs to be a Saturday for us at the moment. Excellent line up already, and the wines sound pretty good too ;)

Certainly bummed we can't (but we shouldn't be spending the money anyway :oops:)

I would dearly love to attend, but unfortunately I have another event on that evening.

However I’d love a chance to catch up with everybody. If anyone is interested in meeting for a pre-dinner drink somewhere around Darling Harbour I’m happy come in for a quick catch-up and wish you all bon-voyage as you depart on the water taxi.
 
Qld school holidays start on the Friday 31st...hmm, this could cause problems if I can't get flights etc. I'm Silver, with hopes of Gold Wozza...if I can't come then I'll just have to supply some wine for the event...and live vicariously through photos and posts.

That might be a go'er, DB. I think Buzz and Steady will be in a bit earlier. And hopefully I am not completing a major deal on the Friday so I can get away too. Let's work it out nearer the time. I'm not sure I'll have something alcoholic though - not when I have 10 glasses of wine ahead of me (and two boat rides)!!

Mate, it would be great if you can come. But if not, we'll catch up on our business travels over the coming months.

Thank you for your comments and private messages. It's looking like I might need to organise another dinner for 8 to 10!

If I could organise another one for a Saturday in Feb - let's say provisionally Saturday 25 Feb 2017 - who would be keen? It doesn't have to be a birthday bash. But just the same format. I have enough overs on the wine to knock up another special line up. I already have in the *overs bin* (!) that I could put towards another dinner:

- Clarendon Hills Australis 02
- Rockford Basket Press 04
- Clonakilla SV 14 (99 points and wine of 2016!)
- Penfolds 707 99
- Grant Burge Meshach 99
- Wynns John Riddoch 99

That won't be the final line up. But it will give you an good guide of what will be there.

If there are takers, then I'd be happy to organise another night. The cost would be similar, depending on numbers (I'd just take wines out / sub them for cheaper ones if the numbers were lower).

And for those die-hards that are already booked on the March 31 dinner - you can go twice, if you want! But priority will go to those that can't make / have missed out on 31 March.

If it's a go'er, then I will start a new thread and start to get some firm commitments from you so I can lock in the venue and other matters.
