I think it might be helpful to have a consolidated thread for each common complaint.

For example, in the Qantas forum, you could have threads for:
- Long call centre wait times
- Inadequate compensation for flight downgrades
- Problems with Qantas lounge passes
- Problems accessing Qantas lounges

I'm sure there are more. And I note there are already a few such threads (eg the one on priority boarding, the one on IT problems).

Some benefits:
- New members will be easily able to find that they are not alone in their complaint and be able to see what solutions have/have not worked for others
- Reduces clutter, especially from new members
- Allows us (and hopefully Qantas) to track these problems over time to see if they are getting better/worse

Anyway, interested to hear other people's views on the idea.

Your idea has merit. These threads would likely be buried/hidden as other new threads pop up though; and we cannot sticky too many threads in a forum as this would create clutter in itself and make it hard to browse new topics. However if these threads were established, they could be linked to from one master thread at the top of the forum, perhaps.

I imagine new members would invariably start their own threads anyway, but threads can be merged if deemed appropriate.

I'll note this idea for discussion at the next team meeting.

I just wanted you to know @levelnine that this was brought up, but considering there are a few bigger issues swirling around right now we are not actively looking at it at this point in time. When things get back to normal we will discuss it again in more detail and see what we can come up with.
