No pics but just got off the most feral effing flight we've ever been on from CBR to NAN. Toddlers in full belt, lazy parents just sitting there, people in bare feet and toddlers crawling up and down the isle (yuk, if only their parents knew) and we were in front row of economy - lesson for us.

This is not a pot at Fiji Airlines, service was fantastic, meal was fine and overall they were amazing. It's a pot at the parents who think it's ok for their little precious to run a muck. We've got kids, travel is hard but you have responsibilities as a parent. Apparently not these days.

Yeah the antics on board my flight last year NAN-BNE were a real eye opener and a first for any flight Ive been on (incl lots of JQ flights).

Was on a 3 hours flights last week and a family of 3 reclined right after take off, the mum put her foot against the previous row. Had to ask the flight attendant to tell them to move thire seats upright for meals (international flight) and as soon as the meal service is finished they all reclined again until they got told to prepare for landing.

And last week's culprit was in 2a as 1a was out of action with a big red "DO NOT OCCUPY THIS SEAT" sign, maybe they knew she was coming!

It’s not revolting like the people with their shoes & socks off … but it is a bit rude, albeit towards a public transport provider so we don’t care much. I mean if someone came to your house & put their shoes on your wall like that, you’d be pretty annoyed … but because it’s just a bus with wings, I personally don’t care, it happens on public transport & doesn’t affect other passengers like how feet on the seats do, so if QF have a problem with it I guess it’s up to QF to do something about it.

Yes, but my point is that the bulkhead foot net/rest in the QF PEY cabins directly places your shoes and feet on the bulkhead, immediately over the magazine holder.

So they actually designed their seat for ‘feet on bulkheads’.

There doesn’t seem to be the same level of concern for that?

While I really, truly have a solid sense of not caring … to me, it’s different if there’s a piece of thing which says “put your feets here” as opposed to there being a wall which convention says you shouldn’t put your feets on.

See the point, but i thought the outrage was because it was unhygienic or something?

I’m not sure where the ‘convention’ originated from? Or whether it exists at all given the PEY arrangement?

Shoes off is that … shoes on is, IMHO, people ‘round here pretending to be outraged.

Not putting your shoes on someone’s wall is still pretty much the norm, I guess, even for Millennials & Gen Y?

Now I think of it, the vast majority of the population wouldn’t know what a QF PEY arrangement looks like (I only know about it from this thread).
