Woolworths gift card thread

There was a bit of discussion on whether this was shoplifting a while back. No clear consensus but I for one wouldn't recommend it

There was a very clear fact that it was theft. It is of no matter when you tell the judge that you did not believe you were breaking the law.

Checked my local, zero $100 cards on the shelf. Heaps of $50's

It could be like the $88's and they load up the shelves the morning the sale starts...

The advertisement is not that clear. is it a one off 2000 bonus points when you buy $100 gift card, or 2000 points per $100 gift card.

Agree that it's not clear. But it can't be 'a one off 2000 bonus points when you buy $100 gift card' as it says you can do it 10 times.

Did a recon and found a store with the $100's behind the $50....7 x row of $50 1 X $100 cards.
Going to check next store now.....Said catalogue released Wed....
On a side note the $88 dollar cards would not split the bill in Aldi...lazy or is it policy?
Can we convert the $88 cards into Visa $100 cards if need be? Some bills don't accept gift cards online!

Can we convert the $88 cards into Visa $100 cards if need be?

Unconfirmed at this stage. I'm thinking it should be possible though.

I have had no issues using the perfect gift cards as part of split payments at wow or coles group businesses. As a part of deliberately not doing $88 transactions at my LPO, I ended up using woolworths and kmart to clean up the $3 leftover balances on the cards.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't used these "Only 1" cards before; they don't have a PIN. Fine for doing online and 'phone transactions, but if used in person, you have to SIGN..... remember when we all had to do that, in the horse and cart days? :D

I doubt that it'll deter anyone on here though.

Scoped out a few stores today, none had $100 cards. Or OzB had already gone wild with hide and seek.

Nothing 3 stores around my area in Sydney. Found the $88 chinese new year ones with ease

PS: you can buy the $100 cards with the $88 eftpos cards :)

Assuming these Visa gift cards can be used to pay for shopping at Woolworths as well as paying Strata, Council rates, water and electricity accounts?

Yes, however as stated above, they don't offer a pin so you need to sign for authorisation if presenting in person

Checked my local woolies just before, there was approx 50 x $100 cards behind some $50 cards.

Will stop by Wednesday morning and see what the deal is.

Doesn't this deal kick in at midnight?

Or can some people get them activated earlier?

It would be terrible if you bought at 1159for example and didn't get the bonus points.

So I think the $100 cards simply weren't there from the Strat

Also I'm not sure but how likely are the OzBargain Era likely to clean out. I have the gut feeling that they arent too cashed up
