Interesting email received this morning. Not sure whether it's targeted or not, but bonus SC suggests that there may be a want to lift bookings...
Got that too, seen it before. I look at it as just another promo that they run from time to time. A bit of a lull after summer holidays would be pretty normal I think.

I am still unclear, maybe someone can post about this if you have done this recently -

If you fly on a Qatar booked flight which is VA1/2 (or equivalent) but with QR codeshare, do you get the normal VA SCs since its technically operated by VA?

Got sent this as well. May be worthwhile if you have an ABN but of no use to me.
Your post made me think. There was nothing in the main body of the email saying it is only for business account holders. Until I read the fine print. That really peeeze me off. Not sure why VA are only targeting Business customers and ignoring their high profile leisure customers (like me) It's just another nail in the coffin.

The promotion has been running a few days, and they ran an almost identical promotion last year (right down to the bonus 10 points). Up to 125 Bonus Status credits with min 2 Business Flyer bookings

I'd think in due course there will be an offer for leisure travellers. There generally is.

If you're on the QR codeshare, that makes it a QR marketed flight.

The Velocity terms additionally call out that this applies to these flights:
Includes Virgin Australia flights VA 1-29 between Australia and Doha that are operated by Qatar Airways as well as Qatar Airways Marketed flights operated by Virgin Australia.
