Trying to book ahead for flights Hobart to Perth in late March 2023. Qantas web site states that flights are scheduled 12 months in advance, but since March 25 no flights seem to have been loaded.

Obviously I'm not desparate (although I do want to be sure of getting J on my preferred itinerary) but I'd be curious to know if anybody knows a reason for this and/or when the situation is likely to change. Thanks.

Flights aren’t bookable a full 365 days ahead, it’s a bit less but I can’t think of the number of days off the top of my head.

12 months out is incorrect. QF only allow bookings (dom & int) on flights through to 353 days. in advance.

You are a little early.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe they'll fix up their web site!

To be fair, looking for a flight a year in advance and nothing showing has nothing to do with their website.

Not sure I can agree with you. I might be reading it wrong, but this seems misleading to me:
  • Our flights are scheduled 12 months in advance, so when booking or changing your flight, your preferred date might not be available.

Something in my tiny little mind was telling me its 330 days. I may be wrong

IATA Summer/Winter schedules begin the last Sunday of March and October each year. It's purely scheduling.
Yep this is correct. The same thing happened when trying to book flights post 29 Oct 22 back in Nov... it took a couple of weeks for the schedules to be loaded for most routes to cover the new scheduling period.

Don’t worry about the 12 months stuff. To the nearest month, yes, it’s about 12 months. To be more precise, as posted upthread, it’s (up to) 353 days. I would be focusing on the flight/seat availability for 353 days and forget about the rest.

Given schedules are in flux over the next 2-3 months looking at a year out who knows. I do agree this is all tied to the IATA summer/winter schedule change and the NW2023 initial schedule is not finalised or loaded yet.
