I don't know the answer to that, but I have only ever been able to get the Top Posters list while logged out.
 
I got to the top posters page fine! Geez I thought posted a lot but looking at the stats I can see I am being put to shame by some. I guess its all about quality over quantity!
 
Sam is correct - it is a known problem for our GOLD and SILVER users. As yet there is no known solution from the author of the "Top Posters" add-on.
