Yes, 3 aircraft by the end of this month, with the rollout to continue throughout this year, I believe.

Best bet of the E190-E2s making the trek to the East Coast is probably on the weekends where VA can utilise them on thin Coast to Coast leisure runs like WA to Tasmania or North Queensland. NTL and OOL are also other candidates.Regardless it looks like a comfortable ride and I wouldn’t mind ending up on one across the east coast. I think product will be chalk and cheese with the Alliance E190s.
Good to see some investment in this space. Hopefully it works better compared to the last Embraer investment Virgin attempted.
Alliance E190 are great - esp if you get the 2 seats on a half full flight in Business - and there is a good luggage storeage area which is great given the poor overhead storage. I have done E190 aka A220 many times Zurich - MXP vv, IAD-LGA.Regardless it looks like a comfortable ride and I wouldn’t mind ending up on one across the east coast. Nah. A220 is Bombardier CS series. E190 is Embraer.E190 aka A220
But there isn't a cabin divider that I can see?Yes, 3 aircraft by the end of this month, with the rollout to continue throughout this year, I believe.
It'll obviously need to be a different design for the Embraers.

I think they will, especially when they retire the A320s and 737-700sI wonder if they might opt for the larger E195 for any top up orders.
I also saw Virgin has scheduled 737 MAX 8s on x3 return Perth-Kalgoorlie flights on Monday 30th March, this seems odd.The E190-E2s are now appearing in the schedules from the start of the NS26 season (29 March 2026). They can be found on the usual VARA RPT & FIFO routes out of Perth.
Seat selection is currently unavailable on the VA website, but seat maps on Expert Flyer show 23 rows of economy, making for a configuration of J8Y92. 100 seats total.
Unrelated, but PER-HBA and the Christmas/Cocos Island flights seem to switch to the 737 from the same date.
As always, all of this subject to change.
