Thanks Newk
Yes you can transfer to Qantas Via Marriott but I think via Hyatt gives a better (but still not good) rate. A quick look at some of the hotel programs adds a few more airlines to the list. As in the previous list wherever there are alternative pathways I have only listed the one giving the highest miles.
14,000 Aeroflot via Marriott
48,000 Aeromexico via Hyatt
23,000 Avianca-TACA via Best Western
24,000 Czech Airlines via Choice
12,000 Gulf Air via IHG Priority Club
12,000 Hainan Airlines via IHG Priority Club
29,000 Jet Airways via Hyatt
10,000 JetBlue Airways via Marriott
14,000 Kingfisher Airlines via Marriott
9,000 Malaysia Airlines via IHG Priority Club
28,800 Qantas via Hyatt
24,000 Spirit Airlines via Choice
14,000 TAP Air Portugal via Marriott
10,000 Virgin America via Marriott
However I don't think I will be doing any of these redemptions as too much value is lost in the conversion compared to the previous list.
PS Done in a hurry so please correct me if you see any errors or significant omissions.
Agree!...
Mhen what an amazing bit of work. Well done and thanks again....
Now to work out which would be best for me. Might be a long job as half of these I have never heard of!

Looking to transfer my DC points to Velocity and it seems like the rate has recently jumped to 1.5DC pts to 1 Velocity pt!? Has anyone else noticed that?
Just had a look on the website and your right!
Typical, as soon as I jump on board the "enhancements" start.
As long as they don't touch the SPG rate, i'll hang around.
I'd ring up the call centre to complain if i had a spare couple of hours, but they wouldn't have a clue what I was talking about anyway.

I did call them up and they said it was a change on the part of Velocity that they had to accept.

Has this changed back to 1:1 as this is now what I see on the website, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Where did you find that? It's still 1.5:1 for me
Velocity Velocity Frequent Flyer Transfer - You must be a member of the airline's Reward Program to redeem Diners Club Reward points for points in this airline's program. Membership of the airline's Reward Program is subject to their Rules and Terms and Conditions. Your redemption must be in blocks of 5,000 Diners Club Reward points. Diners Club Reward Points may only be redeemed for the airline's Reward Program points by a Primary Cardholder and credited to their airline Reward Program account. It may take up to 28 days for points to appear in the Primary Cardholder's airline Reward Program account. Points once redeemed cannot be reversed. 1 Diners Club Reward points = 1 Airline point. Probably an error though, that's why I was checking |
Did you just find it somewhere on the website or when you went to redeem the points the transfer rate option was 1:1? I've found it on the website but the transfer rate when I go to redeem online is still 1.5:1
