Visiting significant mountains is my favourite geographic goal. I’m currently working my way through a couple of Peakbagger lists, the most famous of which are Tasmania’s Abels. To be an Abel, mountains need to be higher than 1,100m above sea level and be separated from other mountains by a drop of at least 150m on all sides. Home - The Abel Mountains

Visited the same spot in 2012. There's a geocache there, or there was back then when I was doing that with one of the Warklings.Just visited Slope Point - the most southern point* of the South Island of NZ.
Quite appropriately, it’s at the end of a sheep paddock that abuts cliffs!

It’s well below the southern tip of Tassie!
*the most southerly point of NZ is a good few degrees further south into the Southern Ocean!
