At the end of the first month of 2018 I've been to Port Augusta (from Syd) 3 times for work. I hope this isn't a theme for the year. (apologies to the good burghers of Port Augusta nothing personal)

Will you try and see the orangutans whilst you are there?

Yes, we are going to K.K, then flying to Sandakan and renting a car, 2 nights in Sepilok, 1 in Sandakan and a further night in K.K. Hopefully see the bears and proboscis monkeys as well.

I look forward to reading about it. It is on my ever growing list ;)

Our plans have changed again it seems.

Lady Lenny has let it be known that she would love to go back to Queenstown in July again for a week or so...so I guess I'll have to start looking at that, not sure if it will actually happen though. Our potential China trip seems to have been punted back into early 2019 as I burnt through all of my (non-existant) leave at the beginning of the new job over Christmas for our Europe trip.

Now it seems like our only confirmed travel this year is SYD-ADL for my birthday in April to go to the Impressionist exhibition there (and probably drink a bunch of wine) and our usual SYD-MEL winter trip for whatever the NGV has on for their winter masterpiece exhibition.

Luckily Europe took me way over the line to maintain Gold, so I don't have to worry about status until some time in 2019, but a family wedding in Sligo coupled with China should potentially sort out Platinum for us.

......LHR, EWR, PHL, CVG, DTW, JFK, PVG, HKG, ZUH for January....I can only sigh at what is likely to be thrown at me for the rest of the year.

...and the winner for the leastt fabulous night so far is Wapakoneta...at least it had a 24 hour Walmart I guess.

Just cancelled Seattle and will fly to San Jose and then to Yosemite for a few days before heading back down the coast via Carmel/Monterey and Pismo Beach and LAX - home.....This is the tail end of our journey after a week in the UK, then Washington and Nashville - San Jose

Many trips to OOL and SYD (this year we will be living at both cities)

Adelaide, Singapore, coughet, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, USA (inc. Alaska and Hawaii) , Canada, Mexico (and maybe a few others) Now I am retired these are all BIS.

Partner's health is getting better so planning here I come.
Feb - CGK
March - HKG/ KUL
Sep/Oct - US, Canada, ICN, SIN and somewhere West Malaysia. Too bad SQ ran out of award ticket from JFK to SIN otherwise would have been good to stopover in FRA.
Dec - HKG for NY

Jun/Jul/Aug 9 weeks in Europe for WC and touring. MEL-BWN-HKG BI J class, HKG-AUH-CDG and LHR-AUH-HKG with EY J class. Numerous flights in Europe.
Oct- Sri Lanka and Maldives
That’s probably it at this stage as our sons 21st is next January and we want to take him to Vegas

Just confrmed out hotel for SIN in May after it became too expensive to change that trip to Oct.

So now we've got:
Vietnam from March 4 - 14,
Esperance March 29 - April 4,
Singapore May 14 - 18.

Still want to plan some other short getaway for our anniversary in October, and then a Christmas away from home ideally.

We are booked for June 2018,which includes CX/AY J to SYD-HKG-HEL, where we take a few days to overcome jetlag. Then to Warsaw for 5 days, express train to Berlin, drive around part of Germany and back to Berlin (abt 12 days). Fly to ARN for 2 days, and then Royal Caribbean cruise around Baltic, including a return to St Petersburg (spent 4 days there this year). Then fly home AY/CX in J ARN-HEL-HKG-SYD,
Now planing our second trip SYD-xx_-LHR-xx_-SYD for October, to visit family. Probably fly the reindeer route again unless something exceptional in J pops up with another airline. Also tentative for SYD-HKG-SYD to do a week's childminding for number two daughter. Could be a busy year internationally.

We are now off to Byron Bay for a long weekend in April. Still deciding between coughet in late May or maybe Europe in October.

Due to the Sri Lankan 'J' fare I've decided to fly to London in May to go to Rally Portugal in Oporto, ending with Rally Italy in Sardinia and then flying back from London. I'll have 16 days or so to fill beween the two rallies, now I have to decide where to go/what to do.
The boss will be in Vancouver for some of that time, but I won't be able to go there. She also doesn't enjoy rallies quite as much as me!

Yikes, I might even have to fly, gulp, ryanair...... Always said I wouldn't after they stuffed me around.

Lots of work trips interstate again this year. Hoping to book a RTW ticket (Finnair special) to visit family in UK, Asia and Europe later in the year.

Lots of random trips around our country and somewhat the world again this year. Highlights are Cocos and Christmas islands (done), photos to come. Also Noumea (twice, but once for an hour....), Vietnam, Broome and Hong Kong (to try out my QF Platinum which I'll get in September - something I never thought I'd achieve, self funded). 20180202_081402.jpg 20180201_083308.jpg
