I have heard a lot of horror stories from people missing out on their holiday due to a flight delay. It also gives you a bit of time to adjust your body clock.
Late Luggage is never an issue for me I have only taken carry on for the last 7-8 years. that includes up to seven weeks away from Artic to TropicsYes, definitely before a cruise. I like to set up multiple alarms and a timer, sometimes two timers: one timer is set to go off a few minutes after my first alarm, and another is when check-in closes or boarding starts (depending on the situation). The first timer is designed to be a backup to the alarm: it sounds different and sometimes that's what it can take to snap one out of the snooze cycle. The second timer I watch as I get ready and pack up so I can clearly know how much time I have to play with to get to the airport.Setting up multiple alarms for waking up
