What's your definition of a Frequent Flyer?

I think some of you guys may have missed the purpose of QFF.

It isn't about Frequent Flying, it is about "Customer Loyalty". Isn't it
obvious that Qantas want to reward those members who contribute to their bottom line by taking long Business Class Flights?

tanewi whilst I agree with your comment:

what where you trying to say here :?: :

I think you may have missed typing something in that sentence...

Not that interesting, sadly - first, because I'm a straight girl, and second, because the manufacturer had discontinued the shade. Dammit.
Girl  Icarus :?

In Greek mythology Icarus was the son of Daedalus and to escape Crete and Minos they flew with wings designed by Daedalus. Icarus flew too close to Helios and the wax melted and he fell into the sea, which was named the icarian sea.

Talk about equality. :? Next we will have a guy on here with nickname of "cleopatra" or "aphrodite". :?

You know you are a Freqent Flyer when you spy a vehicle's registration with the Letters OJC and immediately know your favorite Y/J seats to be had in that particular aircraft.

Its a pitty OJC lost its paint scheme. I liked that one  .

You know you are a FF when in casual conversation with another person, you can tell the flight number, departure time and terminal, and arrival time and terminal for each segment of their daughter's trip to Germany. And they look at you strangely as if that information is not common knowledge  .

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Or can give detailed instructions on how to best transfer between terminals in foreign country, including variations based on day of week and time of day, variation by arrival and departure gate numbers.

Well, why not? The point is flying, not gender. Gender has no relevance to why I'm on this board, flying does. Plus, those ancient Greeks didn't take gender too seriously themselves.

But now I'm "out", if anyone *does* see a nailpolish in a sort of metallic, shimmery copper shade, please let me know!

OK, settle down, no need to scratch that hard you'll break your nails. You can call yourself whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like.

If I see that nailpolish I will let you know. :)

You know you are a frequent flyer when you walk out of the MEL T1 business centre to attend the conveniences, and looking straight ahead you see four tailplanes - and know straight away you are looking at (in the following order) a B767-338, B767-336, B737-838 and a B737-476 - without even looking at the fuselages.

Dave

(Apologies for rehashing an old thread, it occurred to me just now when I made such a walk).

You know you're a frequent flyer when you are pretty sure (while physically in SYD) that thadocta was looking at aircraft at gates 1,3,7,9 & 11!

(No gate 5 these days)

Hey Dave, wich gate was empty?

Gate 1.

You were right, the 490 last night was a -336.

Dave

You know you're a FF when you rock up to an overseas check in and they hand you your BPs on sight, having already checked you in.

Here we go. First post, but I couldn't resist.

You know you're a frequent flyer when your best chance of socialising with friends who live 4 blocks away is while you're both interstate.

You know you're a frequent flyer when your travel toothpaste runs out three times as often as the toothpaste at home.

And perhaps the saddest of them all:

You know you're a frequent flyer when your pets sleep on your luggage when it's at home because they think that's what you smell like.

Welcome to AFF Lis :)

Reminds me I need to throw out old toothpaste at home and replace with fresh travel toothpaste.

Gee Lis, I seem to know you from somewhere 8) ...welcome to the mini-migration :D

Here, there are threads where being off topic is OK. Hopefully, those that like being OffT (as I have shortened it) use those threads for those moments - thus enabling them to post OnT in the other threads.

Hasn't completely changed them, but we're still trying to regulate the dosage to get the best outcome

Past its use-by date, is it? Or are you concerned about the lead tube?
