3. Travel to more Australian areas to get more landscape photos.

FLYING

1. Achieve Plat on VA (105 SC's to go, need to achieve prior to 15/1 or 180 SC's fall off)
2. Finish a few trip reports
3. Try to retain Plat on VA and Gold on QF
4. Pass my 1M flown miles

1. Hilton Surfers tomorrow
2. Noosa Wednesday
3. Sydney end of January
3. Townsville in March
4. Fishing trip to Darwin March (WP Status run - thank you AFF)
5. London in F. April & May. Side trip to Paris
6. Queenstown in July
7. Vietnam in August
8. Somewhere white for Christmas
9. Many other trips to Kiwi Land during the year for a decent feed.

....work like a maniac at the office and adding more trips as opportunities arise.

Will have to ponder mine on the beach in Ko Samui tomorrow. ;) Though I kicked off the year OS for the first time since 97/98 in a new country. :D

Little Miss 6's:
1. Go (back) to Disneyland.
2. Go (back) to Paris.
3. Go back to 1 & repeat. ;)

1. Try to hit 2400 SCs by 30th June (anniversary). 875 or (15 x PER-PBO-PER, full Y, thx Rio Tinto)to go;
2. The 3 of us back to HKG using points only. Will have that booked by the 20th Jan. Also means Miss11sjw will get birthday no.7 at HKG Disneyland.
3. Try to wrangle at least one PER-TSV-PER out of my employer (our HO is there). My Qld counterpart and I can usually fix it for a game of golf on the Sunday prior to any meetings.
4. Start stockpiling FF points for the next holiday.

My resolution from 2012:
To fly at least once every calendar month.

To attend the AFF MEL XMAS DO.

Achieved. :)

This year, well I've requalified for WP this membership year thanks to DSC so my travel related resolution is to get a job that pays enough to do more travel in 2014. Somehow I don't think 2013 is going to be a big travel year. :(

But I do have another job interview soon so here's hoping.

Since I don't do checked luggage, SWMBO considers any allowance I may have would just go to waste if she did not appropriate it ... :p
I would think it is 2 cases of hers for me to carry!
Yeah - that too ...

1. I'm aiming for Plat on VA (I've got until July before points start dropping off).
2. My first status run (if still available after 13th Jan) to achieve No. 1 on the list.
3. My first USDM redemption SYD-BKK-CDG in F or J in September.
4. MEL-PER VA A330.
5. Finding the time & $$$ to complete 1 to 4.

My biggest wish for 2013 would be able to secure tickets to Tomorrowland 2013. Held in Belgium over three days in July, its probably the biggest electronic dance music festival in the world, with the biggest of biggest dj lineup ever. Tickets are hot and sell out within hours. Fingers and toes crossed.

My second wish is to attend the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Another electronic dance music festival, same three day deal like Tomorrowland :) Again a huge line up and starring Swedish House Mafia's final appearance, EVER. As its a bit over two months away I really do have to get my skates on for this.

My third resolution for 2013, is to compliment the above with four other dance parties / music festival in four other countries :)

Hmmm, well already booked my USDM trip for July/August (once again miss a month or so of Aust winter) so should tick off some of the following:

1st flight on an A380
1st flight on a B747-8i
1st visit to Russia, Finland, Japan/Korea
1st trip on Asiana
Would like to fit another O/S trip in J maybe later in the year maybe to NZ or a Pacific Island
Try to get over to the east coast for a trip or two as haven't been over since 2010

Retain WP or achieve MPC GO - work has new contract with CX so not sure how this will go...

Get to Japan, Korea and Indonesia for the first time

Get back to Europe for a longer break

Finish Masters :)

Hmm, Italy is on my radar too. But, I won't be allowed any leave from work until June...we shall see!

I'd base the decision on what you can earn (ie. if cheap CX fares they may not credit to QF, or either), but also what you'd use the miles/points for, after all, can't use QF points to upgrade a CX flight! (But WP might count for more than MPC Gold).
