What's behind your AFF user name?

Well mine is pretty boring, always wanted a Cosworth, but got a cat instead, called him Cosworth, he was a brown Burmese and is closest to swmbo's head..

Then I got a real Cosworth, several in fact, Escort and Sierra Sapphire. My estate will have fun sorting out my stuff....

Sorry, I digress.

The Outsiders by S E Hinton. Classic teen-lit. Adapted into a pretty decent feature film by Francis Ford Coppola, which starred an incredible array of then-emerging Hollywood actors.
It was made into a Broadway musical (have to say it would have been very far down my list of movies that should be made into a musical!!) and must have been alright as it won Best Musical at the Tony awards last year.

I dunno, it does have echoes of West Side Story, minus the prominent R&J plot.

My first handle was a combination of words from something I previously built.

The current one ....... is a double entendre (of sorts), and also links back to the original.
;)

My avatar was a photo I took in a local park where I used to live. I'm all about living in the past .........

And that makes me the Nice Moderator??
Or................. It could be............... #IYKYK ;)

As a relatively new-comer to AFF, I cycled through a series of preferred usernames and found out that all had been taken. I fell back on an old photo that I had just scanned, of me going solo in a Kookaburra glider in 1975, and went with that.

Nice one. Long time since I've seen a Kookaburra, or a Kingfisher, or gliders of that generation. My own first solo was a little more boring - in the very vanilla Blanik... Fun times though 😁

And that likely includes those who attended AFF Gathering #17 in Brisbane last year ;)

I have also been known as Nelly Mobbs in some time/space continuums ;) so perhaps that had some influence in my username creation? And that is also a case of IYKYK ;)

Speaking of that blast from the past, I saw an article yesterday about someone who booked and rode every AA flight number that was a b*s. Ah......... good old TPR and Lestok Tours.

Shhhh ... don't mention the war.

Oh, I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.

That did influence my previous avatar. And I still have the NM Bus :)
