Sunday night’s dinner at the Coogee Pavilion. Every thing dearer than at home. All but one of the family present.
The menu






The food. Smoked ocean trout


My barramundi


Sunday roast beef


Pork Chop


Bouillabaisse


The food was good but at Sydney prices. Food about 30% higher than at home. Drinks 40. to 50% higher.
It was a good night. Huge place. Upmarket food on ground floor where we were, Cafe and street food on level 1 and a bar on the top floor.

Sunday breakfast at IC club Coogee..
Mrsdrron had American style pancakes.


I started with some meats and smoked salmon.


Then Beach Benedict.


Monday we both had the eggs, avocado and portobello mushrooms on toast Nice taste but blunt knives.

Lunch at new-ish QF J lounge, CBR. Compared to the previous version of this lounge, I believe, the food options I have greatly improved. There’s usually only one hot main. But today there were two - one meat based and one vego …

Usually the veg options are the salad and soup, but not today - no sireee …

The paneer curry was AH-MAAA-ZING! And I had to, pair it with some fresh chillies

The salads were good too. finished with a slice of blueberry cheesecake …

All in all a amazing (compensating more like) start to my JQ service to MEL…

Big - 50 odd people anyway - family reunion in Cambridge at Millworks



Food was fine but but not special. Probably what you would expect from a limited option pre-booked meal.

Pea soup or salad to start..





Roast beef - very tender but not a lot of flavour



Sticky Date Pudding.

Charcuterie Board York UK - excellent. One of the cheeses was Harrogate Blue and it was very tasty

Pub meal at The Hole in the Wall pub near York Minster



8oz Rump Steak - fine without being extraordinary. But the chips on both meals were excellent.



Chicken and mushroom pie. My wife had to send it back as it was cold inside. It was replaced with a new hot one and she got a free drink. Not a big expense as she was just drinking sparkling apple.

The filling was nice but the pastry was just commercial grade and a bit soggy on the base. Not up to the standard of others we have had here
