If you've met me you know I'm a fun guy. I saw these mushrooms 🍄 whilst walking and took a photo because they look interesting.
But knowing their potential danger didn't touch them.

Last night, very nice restaurant in Calbertalto, Italy, small town, not much english spoken, saw insalada on the menu, so ordered that, pasta with wilted fresh spinach, fresh soft cheese, I had wild boar ragu with polenta.

Unfortunately the insalada was a salad as we know it. It was "de nervetti verdure e noci" .

Insalata di nervetti translates to veal tendon salad or calves' foot salad in English. It is a traditional northern Italian appetizer (antipasto) made from boiled cartilage, tendons, and meat from veal or beef knuckles, then tossed with red onions, pickled peppers, oil, and vinegar.

Whilst I admire people that use every part of an animal, this was not for us!

The staff we lovely, and we went tnight as well and had Prosecco given that this is

INSALATA DI NERVETI, I had 2 of those one night in Tuscany last year thanks to my wife and daughter ordering it thinking (wait for it) it might be a thai style beef salad. The girl did indicate it was spicy.
It was soooooo good
