What I ate today - the food thread

At Eisgrub-Brau Mainz Germany.
Ordered a black beer and a schweinshaxe mit sauerkraut und holzofenbrot.
The crackling is superb, the meat deep inside and close to the bone is moist and tender. The outer meat is a bit dry. The bread came with what I thought was butter but turned out to be mustard. Overall the meal was delicious and enough to have fed 2. If I had one complaint it's that they wouldn't let me sit at a table on my own, had to sit at the bar.

sigh .. swmbo has been out partying all day so my choice for dinner was a Domino's New Yorker with extra cheese
….washed down by a '12 Lindemans St.George….

5 course tasting at Biota
- snacks - little waffles with a chestnut cream and dried venison. Was also an apple and blue cheese cigar and a little tart of dory and chives
- peas and sheep’s curd with mint and brocolini
- missing photo of next course - on menu it’s fish wing with mandarin (I had veg option)
- beef with prune reduction and radicchio - this was so good
- rhubarb sanga
- chocolate ganache, salted chocolate, macadamia, blueberry and meringue
