i’ve just booked a modern hotel in Saudi Arabia. Every room is listed as “smoking".
You mean the system that is struggling to provide services due to lack of maintenance and upgrades, has regular brown or black outs every summer, which is why we got batteries? We also paid to install a smart metre so they dont have to employ someone to come onto our property to read the meter so what about the wage savings in that?So you want to have access to the poles, wires and transmission equipment, but don't want to pay the fee........
I would find a different hotel. Ive been in chinese non smoking rooms and they were disgusting, we threw away our clothes after that stay as the smoke stench was so badi’ve just booked a modern hotel in Saudi Arabia. Every room is listed as “smoking".
Guess I was lucky with my recent stays over the past week. Not a single smell of smoke throughout! You mean the system that is struggling to provide services due to lack of maintenance and upgrades, has regular brown or black outs every summer, which is why we got batteries? We booked a non smoking room at the Novotel in CDG. We opened the door and fa_ smell was disgusting. We didn't even go into the room but straight back downstairs and insisted on getting what we'd booked. You mean the system that is struggling to provide services due to lack of maintenance and upgrades, has regular brown or black outs every summer, which is why we got batteries? I didn't find that they advertised they were dog friendly when you were just googling hotelsIME hotels that are pet friendly are clearly labelled as such, so very simple to avoid booking. And also it's usually only certain rooms, so when booking add a note that you have allergies to get a non pet room.
Nothing is worse imo than a room where someone has smoked - short of removing all soft furnishings (carpets, curtains, mattress, chairs) there is zero way to remove that nicotine stench. And smoking is unfortunately more common in UK and Europe than here.

I try and book hotels that proudly state no pets or smoking allowedIm pedantic about avoiding showers over tubs, so religiously read all room details.
There are pet filters on most sites these days, so once you have a short list you can do same query with that filter selected and then exclude those. For example on

Would double agree if I could.I try and book hotels that proudly state no pets or smoking allowed
Not bad in my experience, having spent 30 nights there. What is Poland like for smoking? We will be there in 3 weeks and I assume that unfortunately it will be like southern France - smokers everywhere.
Thanks. Nice to know. Not bad in my experience, having spent 30 nights there.
