What cheeses me off

How it manages to read a card other than the one touching the reader is confusing. This is not the first time either.
It's using NFC (Near Field Communication). Basically, any card you have that supports tap to pay could theoretically be detected by the EFTPOS machine when in close proximity to the reader. Whilst it will typically detect the card you're directly placing against the reader, there's no absolute guarantee that it will do this when you're presenting a bunch of cards in close proximity at the same time.

So many different prices for the same thing.

My Optus 500GB SIM only plan is about to increase $20/month as it's been 12 months and my Samsung S21 FE is 3 years old.

I've been looking at new phone and plan options and settled on Vodafone as I'm not an existing customer and it makes sense to use Cashrewards.

A few days ago new Samsung S24 FE 256GB on 2 year is $29.11/month and 200GB medium plan which is normally $63/month discounted to $59.85 which is OK.

I waited a few days and ordered phone and plan today. The Samsung S24 FE 256GB is still $29.11/month but the 200GB medium plan is now $49 and the 400GB large plan is now $59. Wow. Obviously I chose the 400GB as both wife and daughter can use my data while we are home.

I'm not complaining but I'd be really cheesed if I'd ordered the phone and plan on weekend. Just like airfares are there any 2 people out there that pay the same for the same service?
