What cheeses me off

Reminds me of those people who’ve asked if it’s safe to fly a certain airline to Bali but admitted they’ve ridden scooters there drunk with plastic helmets 🙄
Don't get me started on that - I get cranky every time I see an article on news.com.au about how yet another idiot has smashed themselves up in Bali and now there is a GoFund me page because said idiot went to Bali without travel insurance and needs xx_ thousands of dollars to cover hospital bills and a medivac to a Perth hospital so as they can get repaired properly - ready to go back to their high paying FIFO job on the W.A. mines.

This would be a good post for that Cheesed-off thread:

Quite possibly! It really does cheese me off that people happily pay for the ticket to Bali, pay for the booze, and pay to rent the scooter - but expect everyone else to pay to get them home again because they wouldn't pay for travel insurance.

And that's partly why Bali Bogans is a slogan.

The lower echelon of Aussie travellers.

WCMO, lot's at the moment, but in particular travel insurance sites that expect you to type in every country, instead of just "Europe" for example.
Perhaps understandable given that Europe includes Belarus, Ukraine and Russia and these might have a difficult risk profile to some insurers. And some ambiguity around Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. With insurance better to be specific.

Not to mention Australia has recipricol health agreements with some European countries which h also lowers cost.

After spending a lot of time typing countries into several sites, including ones I have used before, I was a bit over it, and also some even max out at about 12 countries, what then? I think there are more than that in Europe.
Also, as we don't have a fixed itinerary, we can change things at any time.

So it's easily fixed for me now, I won't use those that don't have a "Europe" or "Worldwide" option and in the end the one I have chosen has a "Worldwide, less North America" option and it also seems to be the best for us, both oldies.

But of course as usual, ymmv.

I go with the Annual Worldwide less North America and Tibet insurance - it seems to work for me.

Brisbane lack of rental properties. Stunned at the lack of affordable housing being built. Almost every new construction are executive residences. Seriously?

Interesting dilemma coming up. We need to move out in 6 weeks.

Do I pack everything and hire something like Taxibox and spend money living in a hotel and paying storage costs for belongings until we find a play to rent?

Or do I stain our name and stay beyond lease agreement and wait to be evicted?

This is the culmination of a whole lot of bad decisions by me. Oh and to the owner of the dump we have been living in without complaints for the past 6.5 years, hope you choke in your greed. You are one of the reasons humanity is in huge decline.
