It's finally Valentine's Day in Brisbane (1 hr earlier for those of you on the rest of the Eastern seaboard).

I just finished and submitted a first draft of a conference paper. Spent the good part of at least 6 hours and most of today working on it (as well as everything else).

Right now I don't need any long stemmed roses. No chocolates. Not even love. Just willpower and someone to believe that I can finish this beleaguering thesis.....

God, thats the most romantic thing i've ever read! :p Any man or woman would be lucky to have you.

Exciting Valentines day for us.

I'm in Canberra/Queanbeyan and my wife is at home in Sale.

Not that we actually do much as we just do things all year as required.

Fortunately this year I won't have to spend Valentines Day evening with the CEO of a sister company. After two nightmares of being in restaurants with him and being offered roses by dusky Italian looking maidens I finally get to spend it at home. With a bit of luck MrsH will go out so I can enjoy a rare quiet night at home!

If she's lucky I will get Maccas for dinner on way home.

Ain't love grand!

Ditto somewhere near CKY.

Ahh so you're in Guinea.

I'm heading off to CNS as long as the JQ Pilots turn up for duty & plan to have dinner with SO who's working up there this week. It's a helluva lot easier to get to than XCH. With any luck this flight should be the fourth & final qualifying flight so I can go from NB to SG & yes, I selected the $22.00 max bundle so I get points & SC. I thought I selected no for insurance however apparently I didn as I received an email from Chartis Insurance with my policy details.

SO's employer decided to send someone up from HQ to give him a aircraft ground handling course this arvo & an exam in the morning. Didn't let that get in the way of any plans so rung a couple of friends to hook up with at the Court House for a drink or two.

Being single I am in one of those situations where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing ;)
Also, not doing anything close to a floral tribute as my old pick up line of "treat me like a flower and grab me by the stalk" had a bad outcome.

Cooked her her favorite meal before heading off to work...

...and bought us j tickets to JFK at the sale

She preferred the second bit.

A 0525 departure to PBO. Just arrived home. Jnr 11 will be in bed soon.

Mrs 11 is working hard on some consultancy project report. Looks like Subway with a flower stop on the way back!

Made the good wife some flowers :)

That's awesome! Very creative :)

My Valentine's day has been fairly unexciting - slightly annoyed that I'm still at work, but oh well. Hope everyone had a good day, whatever they got up to!

oldest daughter's 19th birthday...............fish and chips for lunch.............no dinner, we're all to full from lunch and Freddo Frog Ice-Cream Cake. Mr. KLN off to the Roger Waters Concert

I'm still at work too! :( ;) :D

I don't have a +1 so not doing anything special. Did catch up with a friend briefly after work and him and his partner don't celebrate valentines day.

On my own in Brisbane.

Purchased myself some QF airfares with the vouchers I bought myself for Christmas! ;)

Had a meeting with a supplier today in Daejeon, Korea to resolve some issues with their product, caught up on some work in the hotel room, had a romantic dinner with my e-book reader, will most probably watch some TV then go to sleep.

Can't call the wife as she's at work this evening back in Adelaide.

Valentine's Day? Bah, humbug! :)

As was I until 7pmish BNE time. And dealing with something ugly - security certs (Why the device I was trying to upload a cert to didn't like the private key I have no idea ... Think the coughpy device wanted the private key in RSA format, not 501x format, and converting it over is impossible AFAIK. Oh well, back to the drawing board tomorrow for some more thinking and perhaps a new cert issuance.)

After losing hair from that, bought pizza + garlic bread, and some beers ... So now chilling!

Spent the day working hard in MKY.
But did ring mrsdrron back in Wurtulla twice.
Was feeling in a slightly mischeivous mood.Got a series of great referral letters-
headaches.
?MS.
Tremor.
Nearly sent back letters saying-
Migraine.
Yes.
Not.
