Credit Card Offers Westpac Altitude Platinum Sign-Up Offers & Discussion

anyone having issues with applying for westpac? mine is still pending for 2 weeks (called to follow up they said its approved and just doing sefcurity check, its been 5 days lol)

they seem to have a really bad service, cause when i called the first time they said nothing pending, 2nd follow up, they required home loan statements. 3rd follow, they confirmed its been approved l

I had a pretty good experience a few weeks ago. I applied for Black on Thursday, approved Tuesday and card arrived Friday. Didn't have to call. Applied as a sole trader. They asked for a business bank statement but I sent a personal one and they had no issue with it. It was quite a smooth approval.

ohh i see thanks for replying back, maybe just bad luck on my part lol, so last night, received an email saying application waiting and more info required (this after them saying it has been approved during my third call last week lol)

If I don't currently have – but have had within the past 12 months - the QFF Westpac card, will I still be able to apply for the Velocity card and retain the new Velocity bonuses on sign up, after meeting the eligible spend?

No, westpac don’t differentiate between their velocity/bank program and Qantas cards, sorry.

Nab and anz do.
NAB and ANZ do? Oh good, so I can get one of those then instead even though I have the NAB QF card. Thanks!

While I'm here, are AMEX the same or are they like NAB and ANZ in this matter (QFF vs Velocity cards)?

Thinking of applying for a Westpac Altitude Qantas Platinum card again after closing my last one in 2022, therefore I'm no longer in the blackout period and I'd be eligible for the up to 100k QFF points.

Altitude Qantas Platinum

I've got an upcoming ATO tax bill and I usually use Sniip to pay for them under normal circumstances anyway.

I know that you'll get "regular spend" points from paying bills via Sniip, but would it count as "eligible spend" that count towards the sign-up bonus?

If not, I'm sure I could still spend $4k in 90 days, but if Sniip payments count as "eligible spend", this would make it easier.

Yeah have done it on numerous iterations without issue. For myself the rule of thumb has more or less always been that if it's eligible for points then should also qualify for the sign-up minimum spend criteria.

Thanks for that, I thought the same thing as well.

Makes the $4k minimum spend for the sign-up bonus a lot easier now!

Bloody taxes.
