Unfortunately the transcript didnt help , went to local branch and advised by staff member the T&C's were either points or fee free year , I took the 60000 points and will be interested to see if anyone receives both .

Finally received an email back from Westpac - They stated that as an existing customer I will receive both points and fee waiver.

Happy now as if it doesn't come through I will have something to stand my ground with.

Was approved for this yesterday, fee-free for 1st year, and I am not a Westpac customer.

Also, promotion extended to May 1.

Seems the promotion has actually finished??

Link on page 1 no longer works :(
I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to the in-store promo here. How we know its still going on when there is nothing to verify this against is beyond me though.

Whats the latest with this? Can I still get the bonus points and the fee waiver if Im a Westpac customer?

Seems as though not, hey? :( Was a bit busy a few weeks back and the page of the promo I was looking at as a logged in customer showed promo ran until June. My thought to come back to this later was obviously not a good one as I certainly can't seem to find it any more!?!

My wife and I applied in branch as non-Westpac customers and can confirm that we received the first year annual fee waiver and 60,000 bonus points.:)

ME too :)

Received the 60K points on Altitude Black (not qantas)

I can see it on netbank. Also did not have any annual fee's posted on my account.

Points arrived less than one month.. first transaction was 27/04

Well done WBC!

Well despite applying for the No Annual Fee and 60k points offer I got charged the annual fee. After a call to westpac apparently the offer attached to my card was the 0% interest offer...

So they reversed the annual fee and said that I would get the points... now to wait and see.

NO, it's finished, the current promotion is $0 annual fee first year for existing Westpac customers ONLY.

Unfortunately, NO bonus points attached to this offer.

So the question is "how do you know you applied for the No Annual Fee and 60K points offer", it was never documented?

Initially, there was a promotion offering $0 annual fee first year and 60k QFF points. The promotion however did not specify it was for in branch and telephone applications ONLY. This promotion was advertised on the Westpac website and I recall my wife and I accidentally applied for this promotion through the online link in error, when we discovered this we went down to our local branch where they told us just to call back when the annual fee appears on account and ask for the fee to be reversed, and that's exactly what we did and the fee was reversed and the 60 k QFF bonus points posted with no issue.

Actually I have the online offer PDFed and it did not offer both $0 annual fee and 60K points, this is mentioned a few times in the thread too, There were T&Cs that said you had to pay the annual fee to get the 60k bonus, though I would be first to agree this was hiding it in the fine print. As for the in branch offer, this was never "advertised" so who knows what it was for!

I do recall the the fine print was quite confusing... plus hiding such a term in the fine print is a breach of consumer law.

In any case, the email I have from Westpac prior to my application clearly indicates the offer for existing customers was 0$ fee and 60K points! :)

When I applied through the Westpac Website online I noted the following points:
1. The bold header introducing the promotion clearly stated the zero annual fee AND the 60K bonus QFF points.
2. The fine print at the bottom of the web page did confirm that the offer was first year annual waiver plus 60K bonus points.
3. It did not say that the promotion was for in-branch and telephone applications only, that's why we accidentally applied online and we were charged the annual fee, but subsequently reversed by telephone after attending local branch to explain our error.
4. Halfway down the page in the summary of fees and charges it mentioned an annual fee of $395, which contradicted the header and fine print.
5. I only discovered my error when I went back to OZ bargain web page where it mentioned the promotion was for branch/ telephone applications only, so off we went to the local branch to correct.

I know what I am saying is accurate because I would never apply for a card with a hefty $395 annual fee just to receive bonus points.

When I went down to the local branch to tell them that I wasn't aware that the zero annual fee & points were for in-branch only applications, the staff were well aware of the promotion - $0 annual fee+ 60k bonus points, and when I telephoned to reverse the annual fee, they did not dispute that I was entitled to a fee waiver. And the bonus points posted fine.

The offer did change as you mention shortly after that to say you had to pay the $395 annual fee to bank the bonus points. I believe I mentioned this also somewhere in this forum.
