Has it been called off entirely, or still just delayed?
Cancelled because they cannot get a safety chopper down from Melbourne. Chopper is needed in-case a rider needs to go to hospital.

MotoGP statement: 'Due to limited visibility affecting the operation of the medical helicopter at the Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia, the MotoGP Grand Prix race has been cancelled.
'As a farewell to the Island, the MotoGP riders will do a lap behind the safety car and stop on the main straight to greet the fans.
'Pitlane will open for the farewell lap at 15:45 local time.'

It's 1548 now. If you are quick you might get a walk through pitlane.

We spent an entertaining 30 mins or so around 3 today listening to aircraft go around due to heavy rain and cross winds gusting to 35 knots here in CBR during a big storm cell. Then we watched them orbit, before finally all getting in safely once the weather moved on.

Somebody wrote bum on the blackboard and teacher gives everyone detention…
You lived in the era of collective punishment too, eh?

Or military collective, which is the same thing except everyone except the perpetrator is punished...

For some reason, can't login with St George.

Call up (no choice). ID questions of course are asked.

One question is what is my current balance of my card. Now unless you have a new card or about to close card or you know everything you spent exactly and when, I don't see how anyone can pass this question! (Ironically, if I wanted to find out without help in person, I need to be able to log into my account!)

I could only give a rough estimate as to where the balance was at the moment. Not good enough - has to be exact to nearest whole dollar. Security check failed - go to nearest bank branch with 100 pts ID.

Complaint filed 🤬😡🤬 that is dumb.

Similar with ANZ for MrP. He had to give them the exact year the account had been opened. He's had an ANZ account for over 60 years and his parents opened it.

So follow up...

...first of all, bank branch hours are not friendly if you are a teacher #facts

The process of getting back my online access was not onerous as such, though I did have to reset my security credentials.

WCMO is that the person who assisted me could not see any reason at all as to why my access was removed/denied/blocked. Now let's be clear - maybe that reason was beyond his access rights for whatever reason, so this CMO was not his fault. Naturally one would question why his rights would be less than that of someone who might be able to help me over the phone, but all he could see was that my access to Internet Banking was disabled and all he could do is re-enable it (with the accompanying process of having to reset my credentials).

A lot of banks are currently doing the 'confirm your address or we will cut off access to your accounts ' thing.

Had one from Wise and MrP has had them from ANZ and NAB in the last few months. He's had accounts with them for decades and with NAB a current loan. The NAB one was worse because it threatened to close off our joint personal accounts and our business account. Which would have been horrific. I contacted the ombudsman about that threat given they were all joint accounts and I would get stuck in the hot mess. Because, as you said, Branch hours are horrific but not just for teachers but anyone who works full time and travels frequently and there is no NAB within - well, I don't even know anymore because FOR OUR CONVENIENCE - it was closed.

I have some joint accounts with my partner and the bank ended up contacting me about her needing to confirm her details. In the end she made a phone call to the bank to check her details where current and it was done.
