Westpac Altitude 80K bonus QFF Points- $195 fee

It doesn't - I've clarified a couple of time with them over the phone and even recorded their phone call. It definitely counts towards the spending for meeting the spending requirement.

Perfect! Thank you Eh520. Now waiting patiently for the bonus points to post. Today exactly 12 weeks since spending requirement met
 
4th statement and no points. T&Cs say 12wks after eligible spend so I'll give them a few more weeks.
 
Me neither. I made minimum spend mid Oct so the 80k should have arrived by 4 Jan.

Looks like another reminder of their contractual obligations is in order.
 
I made my spend back in September and as of yet no bonus points have come though. I called to ask when they were due and was told, 3 months after the three month spend period.

Waiting up to 6 months for the points is poor. I will have to go over my t&C and follow this up some more

I completed my spend too in September, rang numerous times and was given different dates for the points to post, then received a call Friday to say they are crediting my account I presume at the next statement cycle.
 
I might have to call again to chase this up. Seems as though it's not going to be the automatic process I would have expected.

Did you leave a complaint to require them to call you back?

Yes I did told the CSR I was sick of getting different information hence the call back - just checked my QF account nothing there yet but statement cycles this week - fingers crossed as have never had to wait this long before with any other cards

They are terrible time wasters as a company but their customer experience dept (as opposed to frontline CS or Altitude) is empowered and willing to help – make sure you get escalated to them. Will get the points in the next month's cycle plus a small points bonus for their continued breach of the T&Cs (I had already had my annual fee refunded for the 20K point delays).

e bonus points and refund done via the phone or was a letter required ? What were the words you used in rgards to the T & C's you used to get these - might drop them a line
 
Phone. I gave the dates based on their T&Cs (eg spend met x date, 12 weeks from then is y date), requested compensation for the breach of T&Cs/contract. When I mentioned this to the FF dept earlier they immediately put me through to customer experience.
 
Are the QF lounge invites still part of the card and how to request them? Found an older point hacks article stating they would be send out after the first spend with QF but I haven't received anything.

Edit: Seems you need to register first with Westpac to receive the invites.

Correct you need to register first. Then make a QF spend on the Amex card.

For those that have - is the switch from Qantas to Altitude immediate? I've wanted to move across to Altitude rewards for some time, but needed to clear the QFF bonus first which should happen today. Hoping that the switch of programs is immediate.

Received my 80K today too - quick question what is the benefit of switching to Altitude rather than QF

Lodge a complaint, the T&CS's say "The bonus Altitude Points or Qantas Points will be added to your points balance within 12 weeks once you meet the eligible spend criteria."
 
Do payments through PayWay count for the minimum spend required for this card? It turns out I can pay my landlord through PayWay with a MasterCard for a 1.1% surcharge.
