Just a quickie

Any idea how I can track down the nearest airport to West Columbia, South Carolina in the US? I would be flying there from New York.

Its that or fly to California to buy a door knob...

Cheers

S

I suggest you plug the address into Google Maps Google Maps Then using the "what" field, enter airport. It should find you the nearest airports.

Thanks - that wasnt a function I saw on google/maps

I have now tracked down CAE - seems it is an American Eagle destination.... ;)

simongr in whY on EAAgle...yeah right - he'll plump for a transcon in F any day (regardless of distance) :)

There goes 2 of his sectors in his next DONE4 ... all for a doorknob (that is at least a reason to take the flights :p )

Hey - I have flown AEagle DFW-PIT in whY!

For the record this trip would be a separate trip rather than part of a DONE4. This is my and mrssimongr's aaward trip next year - I miscalculated the days I wanted to have in NYC and when I checked to see availability of a change of AAward to go to LHR a day earlier there was nothing available.

If it happens this will be a paid fare - looks like there is a direct flight LGA-CAE on DL (EV) 4765 - wonder if there is a status match to DL available ;) At 2 hrs 20 mins that is preferable to the 10 hour flight on AA...

You can also try driving in from RDU, Charlotte or Atlanta if you need options. All are within 4 hours of Columbia.

Delta and Continental both fly direct from NYC. Not oneworld but you could write comparo between them and AA.

Actually, more than that as there do not appear to be any oneworld direct flights NYC-CAE.

Connections offered on AA.com are generally via DFW ...
