I’m about to do the same. Have been meaning to for the past couple of years but the idea of actually composing a letter full of BS was tiresome. Enter chat GPT and now I’m ready to go.

Mine was a typed Word Doc with a signature at the bottom, still got me on the list a few years back

If I hand wrote my original letter, it probably would have been thrown in the trash as my handwriting is illegible, and I am not even a doctor.

There's no need to handwrite, just make it personalised and polite.
