that's a step in the right direction - 2 years ago I had a blank order form which resulted in 0, last year I was green crayon and I received my order of 6 (different mix though), and am green again this year. Good luck.Received in PER today. I just assume this will be my fourth year of filling out an order and getting nothing. Although this year there is a green crayon mark, whatever that might mean.
I have all my order forms from when I first started buying, 2014 vintage, so had a look back at pricing then for those interested:Prices for 2023 vintage are
Shiraz Mataro - $60 unch
Shiraz Malbec - $60 unch
Shiraz - $80 up $5
Shiraz 24 - $80 up $5
Malbec $65 unch
Cab Malbec -$75 up $5
Cab Sav - $75 up $5
Also in Melbourne, placed my first order last year, nothing yet.I also received my form yesterday. Green crayon, Melbourne. Will post back today and start the wait
Something you could do with all your spare timeThe secondary market average price change over this time would make an interesting comparison.
I believe that this is normal. Although the process seems evolving all the time.I send a letter last year and received a letter back saying they wouldn’t burden me with a list of wines I could order but the good news is they put me on the mailing list… fast forward 12 months and I have received the exact same letter “good news you’re now on our mailing list”.
Is this normal or is it an administrative error?
the exact same dates & journey for meI believe that this is normal. Although the process seems evolving all the time.
Here is my chronology. Initially I have written to them in March 2021 and they replied that it would probably take years and will test my patience to be on the list.
Later that year in July I received a letter that they can't supply and if I still want to be on the list, I need to write back to confirm so in order to be on it.
In July 2022 I received a letter that the crops were miniscule and they still cannot supply but I will remain on the list unless I write to them to remove myself from it.
In July 2023 I received an order form that I filled out and returned. They wrote later in August apologising for not being able to supply any wine.
In July 2024 they sent me an order form again marked with a green crayon and supplied with every wine to the full extent (almost) except for Shiraz 24
I just received my letter and an order form yesterday (I am in Sydney), and will be sending it back to them later today perversely hoping for the biggest hit on my CC!
Hope it helps
Normal. Be patient. The wines are popular and there is limited stock. Loyalty will be rewarded. Some of us have been buying for more than 30 years.I send a letter last year and received a letter back saying they wouldn’t burden me with a list of wines I could order but the good news is they put me on the mailing list… fast forward 12 months and I have received the exact same letter “good news you’re now on our mailing list”.
