Ahh good in my absentia you found someone to take a photo ;)

Lawlass kept on saying we need someone like you to take photos during the day. Luckily we managed to find a random tourist to snap this photo.

I beat you on the champagne front :p

Funnily enough, these items from a package were waiting for me when I got home. Shame I couldn’t have received them before the Do!

Bag tags, business cards and original member shirt.

I’d also like to offer a big thanks to Lawlass for giving me somewhere soft and warm to sleep. Also to penegal for choosing an amazing restaurant. And I owe awilcockson $3 for the tram… next drinks :p

I was wondering this week where my MP stuff was. I ordered it weeks and weeks (probably months) ago when I got the email. Hopefully there's a card in my PO box when I check it on Tuesday!

Yes I must once again extend my apologies for being a pariah for the day. Work got the better of me, and I didn't feel like losing my air fares so managed to negotiate with my boss on the basis I hid away to get work done.

Next trip i'll be more sociable I promise!

Sure sure, you were just playing on the PS3 in the suite!!

You're just lucky they didn't have something like Big Buck hunter there!!

Oh god I suck so bad at that game. It's in lots of the pubs/clubs I work in, and I refuse to play it (although Barry machines, I'm a sucker for them!)

I am sad that I missed the 'published' events this weekend (e.g. FLounge run), but it was great to catch up with a few of you at dinner and drinks.I am glad the dinner crew liked Sichuan House.I look forward to the next AFF do (where I might attend the actual do! ...and stay longer than an hour)!

Haha!! but in all seriousness it was good to use the room as i was on the phone to the real estate agent wheeling and dealing on a place I am hoping to buy...

That was no random tourist there, that was my sister and brother in law. I'd been promising to show them the qp for the last couple of years. just schedules had always got in the way in the past.

Wrong post quoted? ;)

Unfortunatly, QF19 does direct SYD-MEL now. No stopover in BNE.

As per what Markis10 said QF19 ops SYD/BNE/MNL on a Thursday only. You are able to take the return leg QF20 BNE/SYD also on a Thursday.

QF8 (ex DFW) ops BNE/SYD (not vv) on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun which is great if connect overseas as customs would be cleared in BNE & you arrive at SYD Intl terminal. Good way to maximise Flounge time.

Come to think of it, I bet the Syd QF F girls could have issued the JQ35 BP. When I fly Adl/Mel/Bkk on QF/JQ, if I'm really nice to the QF girls at Adl, they will give me the JQ29 BP that issues with the QF BP for Adl/Mel issues. Why? Because I call the WP desk and link the flights together so any bags interline to Bkk and thus the QF system issues both BPs when it produces the interline bag ties for any checked baggage (yes sometimes I do check baggage, well not baggage but test equipment). So thinking back the QF check-in system can issue JQ international BPs. (He says kicking himself, thinking about the wasted time chasing the JQ35 BP issue and lost FLounge time)

If you can book your JQ flight in your QF pnr eg BNE/SYD on QF then SYD/MEL on JQ it's possible to receive both boarding passes from QF checkin provided the link between QF & JQ systems is working at the time. As JQ35 is an international flight number the QF system thinks you're travelling overseas so will issue a JQ boarding pass whereas it won't if you're on a regular JQ domestic flight operated by an A320.

If the link is down it will look like you're not checked in if looking the the QF checkin system however when you go to JQ it will have checked you in & they just need to reprint the boarding pass.

If you have to book your JQ flight in isolation ie via the JQ website, you best bet is to attempt the web checkin & print out the A4 bit of paper that says "this is not a boarding pass" then ask JQ to reprint it.

I guess it mightn't be a bad idea to grab some orange D stickers given the opportunity as I'm sure they'll come in handy in the future.
