I figure i should go through the motions here.

Are there any plans to connect Velocity to Tiger in a similar way to Qantas is connected to Jetstar?

Specifically, any chance of offering Velocity status/ lounge members lounge access when flying Tiger?

And and chance of introducing Velocity points/ SC earning on Tiger flights either as standard or as a part of a package a la what JQ do with QFF?

Just to make it easier i've drafted a:

"At this stage we are not in a position to announce how the relationship between Virgin Australia and Tiger will operate. Our teams are looking into many options at the moment and I will make sure this board is updated as soon as we are in a position to announce what - if any - changes will effect our valued frequent flyers."

statement you can use as the basis of your reply. :)

(Yes, i know it's early days!)

I am sure I read somewhere, it was their intention not to go down that path...

Having said that, I would have thought that the forces that led to Jetstar being where it is today with lounges/FF points are also going to come into play in time with Tiger.

Not sure what was actually said meant that. JB said something the lines that he didn't want "brand confusion" and you weren't going to be ending up on a Tiger flight if you booked through the VA site. Doesn't necessarily mean no relationship at all though.

I seem to recall hearing that there would be no codesharing on flights, and that velocity would not be extended across to tiger.

I imagine that hiring a CEO and management and then getting fares/yields sorted out, getting the fleet utilization up to make a profit/stop the losses would be the first priorities, but yes 777, sort of begs the question as to why did VA buy TT if they don't know/can't say what their plans are yet?

In the early days of JQ, no QFF benefits were available when flying JQ, not status based QP access, not Points/SC earning.

There is speculation this decision actually cost them significant (or more than they expected) business based on subsequent changes to allow QP access and (in some cases) point/SC earning.

I suspect they brought a lot of the issue onto themselves by the way Qantas ceded routes in their entirety to Jetstar. If they went their more recent approach of operating both carriers on routes then they may not have had such a backlash.

Time will tell I guess, but I wouldnt be expecting such in the near future.

Maybe you should use your Jedi mindtrick on VFF (and QFF) to have provide great offers for us, such as providing SCs for all reward seats permanently ...
