Well it's official then that the Australian call centre for what it was for Platinum Plus is finished, shut down Gonski.

So so poor. Fire the Liar appropriate here.

The one advantage of these changes is that I had forgotten how relatively good Qantas is. I must say, I cancelled my last 8 flights with Virgin and used Qantas instead and have been really enjoying the better wines, spirits, food, ability to change flights (with seats available on earlier flights) and quieter business lounges even in peak times. Likewise the business class meals on Qantas are really a step ahead of Virgin. Thank you Virgin for degrading the program so much that I headed back to Qantas. I was mainly a Virgin flyer domestically as Qantas Platinum One is quite easy to get if you fly a bit internationally. With these changes, I think the benefit of keeping both Platinum Plus and Platinum One will not drive my spend and for now Qantas is my choice both domestically and internationally. Beyond lounges would be the only thing to get me back to Virgin I think as these are at least near the standard of the Qantas Business Lounges.

My platinum tags on my checked bags have all become dislodged after numerous flights, I reached out to the Platinum Plus email to try and get checked bag tags (even the normal plat ones) but they sent the carry on only leather ones again. Unfortunately after follow up they no longer offer checked bag luggage tags.

I'd love to see something like this.
