Thanks to all for the info. Am I able to use the Virgin lounge on arrival on a same day domestic Virgin flight (Gold member), I'm assuming yes. Am I able to also bring in one guest? Can my guest accompany me even if they don't have their own Virgin same day boarding pass?
Yes, Yes and Yes.

FWIW, Golds have been able to do this for over a decade, but without a published time limit.

In the early days they did not need to be flying.

This change mainly affects paid "Lounge" members who previously had no arrivals access.

Previously when my mother wasn't gold and was a silver lounge member she could still access the lounge in OOL on arrival the same as gold and platinum. I don't know if this was a mistake or they lounge staff didn't mind if it wasn't busy this was about two years ago but funnily enough recently as a gold member the staff have been a bit iffy about arrival access for gold but the automated lounge entry machines scan in fine. I guess now that it is a written benefit there shouldn't be any issues. (Currently typing this response 39000ft in the air on VA739 in-flight wifi is great though it would be nice if they could extend to premium wifi to platinum/business class or at least platinum flying in business complimentary but the free works fine for regular browsing, sorry for getting off topic)

It was a written benefit for SG/WP ... being enshrined in the Velocity T&C's more than 6 years ago. Before then the now defunct 'anytime access' was an unwritten benefit.

Wasn't sure where to ask this, friend and I (I am Gold) travelling from Vanuatu to BNE. He is flying onto SYD later that night but I am staying in BNE. Can I guest him into the domestic lounge?

Yes you should have arrivals access to the BNE lounge, so this should work. However quite a bit of work for you, you'd have to transfer to the domestic terminal and reclear security to enter the lounge. Although, maybe you can guest him in at the Premium Entry and walk away once he is in the security line...

Thank you! I don’t mind the transit, I’ll probably join him for one last drink to end the trip

I know they added this a couple months back but only was able to make use of it yesterday (other half's Qantas flight was delayed). Got the big thumbs up from me, meant I could be productive and keep working while grabbing a quick snack.

We all like to have our gripes on here but Virgin should be congratulated when they do add in the extra benefits

Does the arrival access work for international VA lounges? I'm thinking the proposed VA lounge in Wellington NZ...

I'm not familiar with WLG, but it would be very unusual for the international departures area to be accessible by international arriving passengers. Unless you are making an international connection (which I'd assume is not typical at WLG).
